Psalms 34:7-10 “The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD... TRUST IN GOD

Psalms 34:7-10

“The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.”

INSIGHT

-The angel of the LORD protects those who fear Him and trust in the Lord. During the Passover, the angel of death came to destroy all those who had not smeared blood on their door posts, but when he saw blood on the door posts and frames of the Israelite houses, he passed by. As Christians we rely on the blood of Jesus which has the power to protect, heal, cleanse, deliver and restore. The blood that Jesus shed on the cross for the redemption of our sins. The blood that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. When Jesus was crucified; He said that “it is finished” (John 19:30). He has thus given us victory over snakes and scorpions and the power to overcome the enemy. His name is bigger than corona virus and His blood is more powerful than corona virus. We should not panic nor fear, but rely on God’s grace and salvation. Jesus said that he will never leave us nor forsake us, and that is our hope as Christians. When we put our trust in the Lord, we will not lack any good thing, for He has good plans for us; plans to prosper us and not to harm us; plans to give us hope and a future.

PRAYER

Thank You Jesus for this far that You have brought us, we have never lacked any good thing. You have protected us from all accidents, incidences, diseases and calamities before and we know that in Your faithfulness You will see us through the corona virus. You are great Lord and worthy of all our praise. At Your name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus You are Lord. You are the only One true God, may Your name be praised forever. Be merciful unto all those who are mourning the loss of their loved ones and comfort them by Your peace. Lord forgive us all our sins and the sins of the whole world, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness by Your precious blood. Your blood that speaks better things than that of Abel. We rely on Your blood for protection, healing, cleansing and restoration, cover us with Your precious blood Jesus. Remember Lord the way You protected the children of Israel from death during the Passover, save us Oh Lord from all evil causing pain and death. Send Your angels Lord to protect us, our families, children, churches, societies, institutions, nation and the world, we put all our trust in You. If You only find ten righteous people in our nation, save us merciful Father. If You only find ten righteous people in our nation Father, save the whole world from corona virus. Only Your blood is more powerful than corona virus, we rely on Your salvation Jehovah. Save us merciful Father. We love You Lord, thank You for loving us first. Deliver us from all fear and anxiety and satisfy us with Your peace. And may Your peace that surpasses all understanding dwell in our hearts and minds through You Christ Jesus. You have said in Your word that You will never leave us nor forsake us, we rest secure in You. Thank You for the good plans You have for us; plans to prosper us and not to harm us; plans to give us hope and a future, guide us throughout the week Holy Spirit, we humbly ask You. Amen

Jeremiah 17:7-8

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”

INSIGHT

-Symbolism has been used to describe a person who trusts in the Lord. Like a tree which is planted by the river and has access to water every time, so is the man who fully relies on God. When the heat comes, he shall not be shaken for his roots are by the water. When he is confronted by drought and challenges of life, he will remain anchored on the Lord and his fruitfulness will never cease. We are reminded to trust in the Lord and trust in His word for God is not a man that He should lie nor a son of man that He should repent, and we will bear much fruit.

PRAYER

We surrender all to You Lord. We surrender our lives, families, churches, nation and whole world to You, take complete control of every situation Father. Forgive us from all unrighteousness and deliver us from the locusts invasion and corona virus. Heal us and our nation Oh Lord and we shall be healed, save us Lord and we shall be saved, for You are the only One we praise. We surrender all to You Lord have Your way in us. We surrender our wisdom and intellect to Your wisdom Father; fill us with Your divine wisdom. Some trust in chariots, others trust in horses, but we put our trust in You Lord our God. Though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death we shall fear no evil for Your rod and staff comfort us. Thank You for planting us in the rivers of water Jesus that we may experience Your blessings and produce much fruit even when there is heat and drought. You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, thank You for Your blessings Lord. Your are all knowing, all powerful and our ever present help, all glory and blessings belong to You Lord. Bless us indeed and enlarge our territories Father, that Your hand would be with us, and that You would keep us from all evil that may cause us pain. Amen

Psalms 115:11-18

“You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear the LORD, Both small and great. May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your children. May you be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men. The dead do not praise the LORD, Nor any who go down into silence. But we will bless the LORD From this time forth and forevermore. Praise the LORD!”

INSIGHT

-When we trust in God, demonstrate respect and the fear of the Lord. It is also a symbol of humility and submission to God. Those who are humble are blessed and they will inherit the earth. According to the scriptures the earth has been given to the children of men to inherit and dwell in dominion. We find many examples of people who lived in dominion on earth including: – Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Solomon, Job, Paul and many others. It is then our mandate to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. To rely on His wisdom and depart from all evil, and his blessings will abound with us and our descendants.

PRAYER

We praise You Oh Lord our God for You only are worthy of our praise. You alone are holy, Only Your are God. You are our help and our shield, all glory belongs to You. Bless us Oh Lord with the blessing of Abraham for we are his seed according to the promise. Remember also the children of Israel that You may bless them and grant them peace. Give us all the dew of heaven, earth’s richness, abundance of grain and new wine, for we are Your children and You have given us the earth to inherit and live in dominion. Thank You Jesus for making us kings and priests on earth so that we may reign in peace for victory belongs to You. Bless us Oh Lord and keep us, may Your face shine upon us and be gracious to us. Lift up Your countenance upon us and give us peace. Amen

Isaiah 40:31

Those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

INSIGHT

-When we put our hope and confidence in the Lord, He shall renew our strength. Hannah waited on the Lord when she was barren and she received her request. Sarah alike waited on the Lord for a son and did not despair despite her old age, and she bore Isaac. Jacob waited on the Lord for a wife and he received a double blessing. Ruth waited on the Lord for a husband and she was redeemed. The Israelites waited on the Lord when they were slaves in Egypt and during the Babylonian captivity, and the Lord delivered them. Job waited on the Lord having lost his family and wealth, suffering with boils all over his body, and the Lord renewed his strength. Paul and Silas were thrown to prison, and when they magnified the Lord at midnight, they were set free. We too in our various capacities are trusting God for a breakthrough in one area or another. Praying for our needs, families, churches, society, nation and the entire world day and night. Like the poor widow who went to the unjust judge persistently but received her request (Luke 18:1-8), we too are called to pray earnestly and the Lord is faithful to answer us according to His will. When we wait on the Lord He shall renew our strength, we shall mount up with wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint, for His love for us endures forever.

PRAYER

Thank You Lord for You are good and Your mercies endures forever. We bless You Father for You are faithful and Your love for us is everlasting. This is the day that You have made Lord, we rejoice and are glad in it. Forgive us all our sins and the sins of the world, and deliver us from the corona virus and other calamities that confront us merciful Father. Cover us with Your precious blood Jesus and deliver us from all evil. We declare that no weapon fashioned against us shall prevail and every tongue that raises judgement against us is condemned by Your blood Jesus. Jesus You are our advocate speak righteously for us; for Your name’s sake. Father You the Ancient of Days, Judge righteously on our behalf for Your mercy and love is everlasting. We shall not die but live to declare Your goodness Lord. Jesus You are good and Your mercies endures forever, Father You are good and Your love endures forever. Thank You Holy Spirit for Your love for us is unending. We put all our hope and trust in You; renew our strength we humbly ask You. We declare that we shall mount up with wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint, for all our trust is in You Lord. We bring forth our prayers, supplications, thanksgiving and heart desires unto You, answer us Faithful Master. We cast all our burdens unto You Jesus, deliver us. Deliver us from all evil Lord and teach us Your ways of righteousness, for Your love for us endures forever. Fill us with Your spirit of counsel, might, understanding, knowledge, wisdom and the fear of the Lord, for we belong to You Lord. Amen

John 14:1

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”

INSIGHT

-The LORD is our God, our Fortress and Shield, the Rock upon whom we stand. We are called to believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit so that we may remain firm in faith. When we trust in the LORD, we become like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever (Psalms 125:1-2). We obtain His divine establishment and remain unshaken despite the fears and challenges that the world presents our way.

SUMMARY

Trusting in God is to commit oneself to God. To believe in Him and His promises. We find many examples of people in the Bible who believed in God and they received their requests. Abraham trusted in God and he became the father of many nations. Sarah believed in the promises of God and despite her old age; she bore a son; Isaac. Hannah believed in God despite her barrenness and she bore Samuel. Job trusted in God despite loosing everything and becoming sick; but the Lord restored his health and gave him plenty. Paul had fervent faith in God and turned many to Christ. The Samaritan woman believed in Jesus and received her salvation. We find that when we trust in God; we are blessed and never lack any good thing. We are called to trust in God with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding; but in all our ways acknowledge Him and He will make our paths straight. When we trust in the Lord, He renews our strength. When we trust in God we become like trees planted in the rivers of water and when drought comes, we still bear fruit. When we trust in the Lord, we are established in His grace like mount Zion and He protects us from all evil. Trusting is God is also to fear the Lord and we obtain His wisdom. The Lord encamps around us when we fear Him and when disease, destruction and evil snares come, He hides us under His pinions. Jesus Christ is the Rock of our Salvation. We are reminded to put our faith in Him and He will cover us with His precious blood so that when the angel of death comes, he sees the blood and passes by. The blood of Jesus has power to cleanse us from all sins, heal our wounds, deliver us from all evil and give us victory in everything. Through God’s everlasting love for us, He fills our hearts with joy and grants us total peace and calls us to give thanks to Him in all things.

PRAYER

We love You O LORD, our Strength. You are our Rock upon whom we stand, our Fortress and Deliverer. Our God, our Strength in whom we put all our trust. Our Shield and the Horn of our salvation, our Stronghold. We call upon You LORD, who is worthy to be praised, save us from all evil. The pangs of death and floods of ungodliness surround us. The sorrows of Sheol surround us and the snares of death confront us, but we shall not be moved for You are our Rock and Deliverer, our God in whom we put our trust. Cover us with Your precious blood Jesus and hide us under Your pinions. We shall not be shaken for all our hope is in You Lord. Heal all our wounds and restore in us the joy of Your salvation. Teach us, our families, churches, leaders, nation and the whole world to believe in You and bestow upon us the gift of salvation so that we may all have life everlasting with You Jesus. We shall not fear for You are in us and with us. You are the Vine and we are Your branches, help us to bear much fruit according to Your merciful love. You are our Good Shepherd and we are Your sheep, shepherd us in all things for our lives belong to You Jesus. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Be with us now and forevermore. Amen
