THEME: DIVINITY OF PURPOSE

2 Timothy 1:8-9

“Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,”

INSIGHT

-God’s kindness and love appeared to man, not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to His mercy and love, and saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:4-5). God has liberated us on account of His salvation and grace and not by our own works lest anyone should boast. Salvation is by grace and not based on human efforts but God’s saving plan and gracious gift of His Son Jesus Christ. God’s plan to save sinners is eternal through His death and resurrection for our sins. If then we have been saved, God uses us as His stewards to propagate His kingdom message, and we are not our own. It is through His holy calling that we preach His gospel of truth with boldness in our areas of influence amid persecution that may come our way, for the glory of His name, for He has won victory for us.

PRAYER

Abba Father, You satisfy us with Your compassion and mercy early, so that we may rejoice and be glad all the days of our lives. Teach us to number our days dear Jesus that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Let Your grace appear to us Your children and Your glory to our children loving Father. Let Your beauty be upon us and make everything beautiful at Your time. Make everything beautiful for all children living in the streets and grant them new lives filled with hope. Deliver all the prisoners from their chains by Your precious blood, that we may all do Your divine will dear Jesus. Heal all those who are sick and restore their health according to Your loving kindness. Be our Light that delivers from all darkness King of glory. Establish the work our hands according to Your merciful love. Establish the work of our hands merciful Savior and increase us in fruitfulness and productivity, and lead us to maturity in Your salvation. Let us make a difference in this age we live in and make a difference in our areas of operation and influence, according to Your unending grace. Be there with us and in us always when we preach and teach Your word of truth and defend us during the time of opposition. Fight all our battles dear Jesus and let us rejoice in Your victory from everlasting to everlasting. Answer all our prayers, and hearts desires with love merciful Savior we humbly ask You. Give us the strength to bear all sufferings and tribulations with faith for You have already won victory for us. May Your goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our lives, and we shall dwell in Your house forever. Amen

Blessed Tuesday
