THEME: NOTHING WITHOUT FAITH

Luke 1:37

“For with God nothing will be impossible.”

INSIGHT

-While Zachariah served faithfully in the temple of the Lord as priest, his wife Elizabeth was barren. Despite this fact, he did not abandon his priestly duty but served diligently having faith in the faithfulness of God. Although he doubted angel Gabriel’s message when he told him of his sons birth. He became mute but God fulfilled His word and gave him a son despite him and his wife Elizabeth having advanced in age. Like Zachariah became mute until John was born, some of us have become mute because of our faithlessness until God’s promise is fulfilled. The Bible says Proverbs 18:21 that, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Probably his negative confession could have ruined the blessing that God had for him and his mute situation was an advantage to many future generations of God’s people. Sometimes our tongues may cause death to our situations and our lives stagnate in the promises of God. Probably God promised you something a long time ago but because of your negative confessions or lack of faith, the promise has become like a pillar of salt, dead and only your faith in God can give it life. The tongue is powerful and in whichever direction we channel it’s power, we will eat it’s fruit. We have hope in Jesus Who became a curse so that we may become free for the Bible says “cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” (Galatians 3:13). We must therefore believe that all curses were taken away by Christ on the cross and He has set us free from everything that enslaves us and always have a positive mindset. We should quiet our souls when we do not know how to speak and withhold our tongue from uttering negative word for when a foolish man is silent, he is considered wiser that a wise man who speaks foolishly. We are called to speak positive words upon our lives for instance: – God loves me, I am a child of God, I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus, God has good plans for me, I am blessed, I am an over-comer, I am a great success, I am victorious etc. These are words that build up our faith in God as we come to the reality of who we are and what we are called to accomplish for His kingdom benefit. With faith nothing is impossible and without faith we cannot accomplish anything. Despite all our shortcomings, God’s grace is sufficient for us and His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

PRAYER

God You are good and Your mercies endures forever. Thank You for Your love and mercy upon our lives. Increase our faith in You Lord and deliver us from all forms of delay or barrenness that might have been caused by our tongues and set us free. Set us free from all evil by Your precious blood. Your grace is sufficient for us and Your strength is perfected in our weakness, thank You Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins. Set free all those who are homeless, barren, sick, in prison, separated, divorced, unmarried, jobless, failed in business, in debt, stuck in the various projects, under dominion of sin and unfruitful in their lives and families. We cast all our burdens and cares unto You Jesus, set us free we humbly ask You. We believe that nothing is impossible with You Lord, come through for us in all things. Thank You for setting us free from all evil, curses, oppression for whoever You set free Jesus, he is free indeed. Thank You for dying on the cross for us Jesus. Thank You for the plans You have for us Lord, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future, all glory and praise belong to You. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forever more. Amen

Blessed Tuesday
