THEME: LEADERSHIP – MODEL OF JESUS

Matthew 16:17-19 NKJV

“Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

INSIGHT

–Jesus instituted the church and united us together with Him which is the essence of salvation. The name Peter also Petros in Greek means a detached stone and Petra is a bedrock. Upon Peter’s revelation Jesus builds His church. The revelation that Jesus is the Messiah and Son of God. This opens our spirits into confession of our faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Belief in Jesus’ teachings and call to preach the true gospel of Jesus and live it, is a call for all Christians. Believers should therefore desist from fighting with one another, but each one should follow the kingdom principles of righteous living and preaching the true gospel.

PRAYER

In You O Lord, I put my trust; let me never be put to shame. May You deliver me in Your righteousness. Bow down Your ear to me and deliver me speedily dear Jesus. Be my Rock of Refuge, a fortress of defense to save me. You are my rock and my fortress; therefore, for Your name’s sake, lead me and guide me dear Lord Jesus. Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, for You are my strength and into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Lord God of truth. Dear Lord Jesus, You are my Christ, Son of the Living God. You are my Messiah; I believe that You will never leave me nor forsake us. May You cause peace and reconciliation in the church for believers are body with You Jesus Christ. May You uproot all churches, ministries, temples, altars and places of worship that are not founded on Your truth and Your gospel dear Lord Jesus. We plant Your altar dear Jesus in our homes, churches, counties and nation that You sprinkle Your precious blood therein that only Your blood may speak better things than that of Abel. May You increase our faith in You and help us to walk according to Your will and purpose. We honor You Lord and give You praise, and it is in Jesus name we pray. Amen
