THEME: DRIVEN BY PURPOSE

Luke 7:31-32 NKJV

“And the Lord said, “To what then shall I liken the men of this generation, and what are they like? They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling to one another, saying: ‘We played the flute for you, And you did not dance; We mourned to you, And you did not weep.’”

INSIGHT

-God’s calling for our lives and nation is a critical element of our daily lives. The Pharisees and law experts rejected God’s purposes for them and were not baptized so that the Holy Spirit would come upon them. They did not allow the Holy Ghost to fall upon them even as He came upon Jesus like a dove during His baptism to fulfill all righteousness and they failed to be receive sonship (Matthew 3:15-17). Jesus then compared them to the people of the generation of the time who were alert in the spirit. This is a prophecy with a lot of relevance today. The young generation is sitting out in the market place calling out at each other. Playing the pipe to the government and they do not want to dance. Singing to them a dirge and they do not cry. They have hardened their hearts to the voice of God and that of the young people thus not allowing the Holy Spirit fill them and work through them and in them for a better nation.

PRAYER

Abba Father we thank You for Your goodness and mercies which are new each morning. We repent all our sins and iniquities may You forgive us and deliver us from all disaster. We repent on behalf of our leaders and our nation, may You forgive us and wash us with Your precious blood. We are sorry for we have committed the seven sins that You hate as a nation please forgive us. We have entertained a proud look and a lying tongue. We have shed innocent blood and our hearts have devised wicked plans. Our feet have swiftly ran to perform evil and we have sown discord among brethren. We have bore false witness and have spoken lies, may You have mercies on us and remember our sins no more dear Lord Jesus Christ. If You find only a few righteous people in our nation please save us dear Lord Jesus. May You save our children from premature death. May You save our nation from slavery. May You save our economy and grant us peace and prosperity. May Your righteousness be found in our nations that Your purposes may prevail. May You save us and deliver us from all evil. May You grant us peace, love and unity in our nation. May Your righteousness prevail in our nation dear Lord Jesus. May You grant the gift of salvation upon all the people. May every dry bone live in this nation we prophecy life and speak life for our nation. We declare that we shall always all keep Your commandments by Your grace and divine enablement. We declare that we are blessed in the city and in the country. We declare that we are blessed when we come in and when we go out. We declare that we blessed and extremely fruitful for we have built our foundation in You dear Lord Jesus Christ. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus Holy and Mighty name. Amen
