THEME: THE LION

Revelation 5:5 NKJV

”But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”

INSIGHT

-Several Biblical references have outlined the lion that bring out a diversity of attributes and significance. The tribe of Judah forms part of the twelve sons of Jacob and thus the tribes of Israel. “The genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham. Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers” (Matthew 1:1-2). The tribe of Judah here references the human or natural lineage of Christ. It also points to the overcoming, conquering, powerful, victorious and redeeming King, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

PRAYER  

Oh Lord and King, our Great Lion of Judah, strong and mighty. We declare that You are our only God and none can compare to You. Oh Lord we exalt You and enthrone You for there is none like You.How wonderful is Your name in all the earth. How powerful is Your name Oh Lion of Judah. At Your name Jesus, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus You are Lord to the glory of God the Father. We humbly come before Your throne repenting of all the sins and iniquity we have committed. We seek Your forgiveness and mercies that are new every morning. May You cleanse us and wash us with Your precious blood and sanctify us whole body, soul and spirit. We ask You Lion of Judah to come and fight for us in all our situations for You are the strong and mighty One. May You go before us and grant us victory in every area of our lives. May You fight for all those who are sick and oppressed in our society and grant them rest. Thank You for redeeming us by Your blood dear Jesus out of every tribe, tongue, people and nation. We exult Your holy name and honor You now and forever. Amen
