Matthew‬ ‭18:19-20‬ ‭‬‬

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
‭‬
INSIGHT
-There is power in unity which is achieve by more than one person who have a common purpose. Paul and Silas found themselves in an awkward situation after rebuking the divination spirit from the slave girl. They were beaten up and thrown into prison but they did not relent in their faith. They knew the power of two and utilized it during prayer and worship. As they invited God’s presence in unison, the Lord delivered them. The foundations of the prison were shaken, the doors flung open and the chains of all the prisoners were loosed (Acts‬ ‭16:25-26‬). Where there is unity, God commands a blessing (Psalm 133). It is through agreement that we witness the power of God working in our lives. Each one can find a prayer partner as God honors such prayers. When we pray and fellowship together in our homes, places of work, churches, small Christian communities etc., God reveals Himself and responds with a blessing. ‬

PRAYER

Teach us to pray and praise You in communion with other believers and answer all our requests according to Your will. You are our Savior and Father we thank You for protecting us, blessings us, preserving us, providing for us, healing our wounds and making us whole. We humbly ask You to guide us throughout this week and guide us in the way that we should go. We humbly ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding in our hearts, homes, relationships, marriage, society, institutions, nation and all the nations of the earth including Israel and Palestine. We pray for Your perfect peace upon us Prince of peace. May Your peace reach all those who are sick and suffering in hospital and home, those in prison, the homeless, bereaved and all those who have lost hope in life. Teach us how to pray Holy Spirit and intercede for us we humbly implore You. We need You always in our lives. Take over Holy Spirit. Answer all our hearts desires and make us whole. Cause us to follow You with undivided hearts we ask You. Our Father who art in heaven; hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil; for thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory; forever and ever. Amen

Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:9-10‬ ‭‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

“Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.”

INSIGHT
-During the construction of the Tower of Babel, the people had one objective and worked in unity towards reaching the heavens. The Lord acknowledged the power of team work and said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them” (Genesis‬ ‭11:6‬).‬‬ It is through unity of purpose that the greatest partnerships, ministries and projects are formed. Some of the biggest corporations have been built by two individuals who had a common goal. For instance:- Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Microsoft by Paul Allen and Bill gates etc. It is through the power of partnerships that people agree as one having the same vision to actualize key innovations. Proverbs 27:17 reminds us that, “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. As we have seen in the prime scripture, two are better than one for they have a better reward for their labor. Some people prefer to work alone and when they fall, they have no one to support them. God honors partnerships in every area of our lives, and He prospers our ways.

PRAYER
Almighty and Everlasting Father, we come before You this morning thanking You for the gift of life. We thank You for all that You have done unto us and all You are doing to us. We praise You for Who You are and for the great love that You have shown us. We appreciate You and honor Your holy name for Your sacrifice on the cross for us. We humbly ask You to forgive us all our sins, sins of our families, friends, ancestors, nation and the entire world. Deliver us dear Jesus from everything that displeases You and guide our steps. Guide our steps in all that we do including our work, businesses, projects, education, ministries, calling and gifts. Lead us into strategic partnerships that result to successful innovations according to Your will. Join us with our destiny helpers and encourage us to walk together in clear vision and truth. Break all the bars of iron in our way and level every mountain for us that we may gain good success dear Jesus. Open all closed doors that pertain to us dear Jesus. We desire to see You and make You known through our successes, look to us with kindness and make a way where there seems to be no way dear Jesus. Give us hope to carry on and increase in us wisdom in all areas of our lives. Grant our leaders wisdom that they may lead Your people according to Your will. Bless our land and heal our economy dear Jesus. Heal our work and our businesses merciful Savior. Heal our hearts and minds that we may always serve You and remain humble in all situations. We shall prosper as our souls prosper in Your name Jesus. We thank You Jesus. We love You Jesus. Thank You for loving us first. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forever more. Amen

Genesis 2:18

“And the LORD God said, “ It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

INSIGHT
-On the sixth day, God created mankind in His own image and likeness and commanded them saying, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it..” (Genesis 1:28). This command was proceeded by the fact that God saw that it was not good for a man to be alone and thus created a helper suitable for him. Marriage is good and has uncountable advantages. It is through marriages that procreation takes place. Ecclesiastes 4:11 notes that, “Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone?” Marriage also absolves people from sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 7:2 states that, “Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.” This is to note that sexual relationships are only permitted among married couples, and those who are married are allowed to be joined with their spouses in such a manner. God is the author of marriage and calls us to follow the principles outlined in the scriptures as He guides us in all things. The Lord requires us agree within a marriage union, as two cannot walk together unless they agree (Amos 3:3). It is not in God’s design for man to be alone, and after Christ’s ascension, He left us the Helper, our precious Holy Spirit. It is only by the help of the Holy Spirit that marriages are sustained, as two become one in Him.

PRAYER

Abba Father we appreciate You and exult Your holy name. Only You are Holy and Your holiness endures forever. No one is good apart from You our Lord and God. Your goodness and mercy endures forever. You have said in Your word that it is not good for a man to be alone, and You have created a helper suitable for him. May You grant all those who are single and waiting on You for marriage partners; good spouses dear Jesus. Bless all those who are separated and divorced, and grant them rest with regards to marriage. Remember all the widows and widowers that You may answer all their hearts desires Jesus. You have promised in Your word that no one shall lack a mate dear Jesus, answer all our hearts desires we humbly ask You. Be with all those who are married that You may establish them; as one in You Holy Spirit. Give us peaceful, happy and prosperous marriages, filled with love dear Master. Bless all those who are waiting on You for children that they may bless them all and fill their quivers. Let us be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, according to Your promises. According to Your merciful love dear Jesus. We pray all this believing and trusting in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Luke 10:1

“After these things the Lord appointed seventy-two others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.”

INSIGHT

-The Lord has often deployed two by two ministers for the benefit of His Kingdom, beginning as early as the Old Testament times. Moses and Aaron ministered together in their mission to deliver the Israelites from the Egyptian captivity. Barak and Deborah the judge; ministered in unison and delivered the Israelites from Jabin’s cruelty (Judges 4:1-10). Elijah and Elisha prophesied together, including many others. In the New Testament, Jesus chose twelve apostles among a multitude of disciples (Luke 6:13). He gave them power and authority to drive out all demons, to cure diseases, proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick (Luke 9:1-2). During the great commission, Jesus mandated the disciples to go and preach the gospel to the whole world in pairs, having the same power and authority. By this Jesus ensured that the gospel reached both the Jews and Gentile nations, as it is today. We see two among them walking to Emmaus when Jesus revealed to them the mysteries of the gospel and broke bread (Luke 24:13-35). The power of two therefore manifests in ministry and through the mouth of two or three witnesses, a matter is established (Matthew 18:16). Each one of us has been called to preach the gospel of truth to the whole world; in our various capacities, for the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). When we minister in unity with each other, Christ comes as the third witness and we accomplish His will and overcome every obstacle, for the glory of His name.

PRAYER

God You are faithful and Your faithfulness endures forever. You have been faithful unto us even when we have become faithless. You have been a true Father and Friend to us, we appreciate You Jesus. May You remember all the ministries and churches all over the world, that Your true word may be preached. Bless them all and establish them upon You our Rock of salvation, and the gates of hades and hell shall not prevail against them. Feed all Your people who hunger for Your word for You are our Bread of life Jesus. Let all people and nations know You and acknowledge You as our Lord and Savior. Grant each one of us, our family members and all people the gift of salvation merciful Savior. Remember all the persecuted Christians all over the world and deliver them by Your righteous right hand. May You Almighty Father guide us all in our callings and gifting. Grant us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, perseverance, hope, love and increase our faith in You dear Jesus. You have commanded to go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teach them to obey everything that You have commanded us. Grant us the grace and strength to preach Your gospel of truth freely. Deliver us from every opposition that comes against us when we are doing Your work of truth for the glory of Your name. The gates of hades and hell shall not prevail against us we declare Jesus. May many know You and come to You Jesus; for the glory and honor of Your name. Thank You for You are always with us, and You will never leave us nor forsake us. Thank You for loving us Jesus, lead in every way. All glory, honor, power, praise and blessings belong to You Jesus, now and forever. Amen

Ecclesiastes 4:12

“Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

INSIGHT

-The Parable of the Good Samaritan reveals the importance of loving one another, and helping those in need (Luke 10:25-37). As much as it exposes the value of helping those in need, it also teaches us on the importance of togetherness. Probably, the thieves could not have overpowered the men if they were two and better still, they could not have attacked them in the first place. Valuable friendships that are grounded on selflessness go along way to form powerful bonds. When the Good Samaritan was beaten up by robbers and left half dead, he was neither aided by the priest nor Levite who looked the other way, but a Samaritan. There are friends in our lives who are open and honest with us. Some are close to us and we allow them to correct, rebuke, encourage, support and motivate us to be all that God has called us. One of the reasons why many people fall away is because they have no one they can be accountable to and call true friends. In Proverbs 18:24 we see that, “One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” God has the best interest for us and gives us godly friends when we ask Him.

SUMMARY

The analogy of the threefold code touches on certain main areas of our lives. We are called to unite as two in our marriages, friendships, businesses, prayers, ministries, communion and other areas of our lives, Christ becomes the third code Who unites us with His love. Which code or relationship can stand without Christ? It is only through the grace of God that we are able to stand and not by our own works. Therefore as we have seen, the power of two is revealed through marriage unions where two become one in Christ. Also, people with similar goals come together to form strong brands. Major partnerships are established from certain support systems that overcome huddles of life. Thirdly, friendships that are built on mutual, trust, support and selflessness build stronger bonds founded upon love. Fourthly, powerful unions are anchored on prayer and fellowship, and God reveals Himself. Paul and Silas prayed together and experienced victory in Christ and overcame diverse challenges. They also ministered together which brings us to the last point, discipleship. Jesus commissioned His disciples and send them two by two. One person might be overpowered by the enemy, but two can withstand him, but a threefold code founded upon the Rock Who is Christ, can never be broken.

PRAYER

We exalt You our God and King. We praise Your name for ever and ever. Everyday we praise You and extol Your mighty name forever and ever. Great are You Lord and most worthy to be praised. Your greatness no one can fathom Jesus. Lord You are gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. We celebrate Your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of Your righteousness. We exult Your name for who You are and what You have done in our lives. Forgive us all our sins and cleanse us with Your precious blood dear Jesus. Deliver us from all evil and enlightened our steps. Teach us to dwell in unity and love with our brothers and sisters as You have called us to. Join us with godly spouses, faithful friends, destiny connectors, business associates, and like minded ministers of Your word that we may walk together in discipleship for the glory and honor of Your name. We shall dwell in peace, harmony, prosperity and love with one another we declare. Grant peace to the nation of Israel, Pakistan and all the other nations of the world dear Jesus. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. Amen
