Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
INSIGHT
-Salt is used for flavoring and preservation but it looses taste if not well persevered. Jesus fulfilled the mission of our Father and became the light of the Gentiles (Isaiah 42:6) and expects us His followers to carry on the work. As partakers and followers of Christ, He exhorts us to emulate Him and His works which are good. Then we are called to declare that we are the salt and the light of the world born and born again to do good works for the glory and honor of God.

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
INSIGHT
-The word fear in Greek is translated as deilia which means cowardice or timidity. Apostle Paul reminds Timothy that fear or timidity does not originate from God. Instead, the Holy Spirit empowers and encourages believers to face challenges boldly. We are encouraged to act courageously in faith when faced with fear and uncertainties. To also rely on the Holy Spirit for strength and wisdom and to reflect God’s love in our relationships and interactions. We then need to declare the power of the Holy Spirit that is domicile in us, for the One who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
PRAYER
We give thanks to You Lord God Almighty for Your righteousness and love. We sing Your praises for You are God Most High and none can be likened to You. Thank You Abba Father for You have never left us orphaned but You have given us the Holy Spirit. Thank You for You are our Helper, Comforter and Source. Thank You for Your favor and grace upon us that never ceases. Thank You for You are good and Your mercies endures forever. We declare that we shall not walk in fear but in the power of the Holy Ghost. We declare that shall not be intimidated or consumed by the schemes of the evil one but we shall walk in the love of Christ. We declare that we shall live long to see and declare the goodness of God. Amen

Job 22:28 NKJV
“You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.”
INSIGHT
-Eliphaz, one of Job’s friends, speaks in wrongful assumption of Job’s suffering caused by hidden sin and offers advice based on his flawed understanding of God’s justice. As his confidence in God’s power and faithfulness is true, he oversimplifies God’s dealings with humanity. He suggests that when someone is in right standing with God, their prayers, decisions, and declarations align with God’s will and carry weight. Thus God’s purposes will never be frustrated, but ratified by Him for our sake. When we make declarations by God’s promises for His counsel shall stand, and His decrees established to all generations.
PRAYER
Almighty Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before You this day with humble adoration and thanksgiving in our hearts. Father we thank You for all You have done for us. For the healing You have given us, and this far You have brought us this year and all through our lives. We say thank You Papa for Your goodness and mercies all through. Matthew 17:20 NKJV
“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
INSIGHT
-Our faith in the Lord as believers is our vital source of power and strength. Daniel 11:32 reminds us that those who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. We are children of God having believed in Jesus Christ, and nothing shall be impossible for us.
SUMMARY
Declarations have great value to every believers life. Job 22:28 evidences the value of declarations saying that, “You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” Declarations are a valuable tool for spiritual growth, faith-building, and engaging with God’s promises. When spoken in alignment with Scripture and God’s will, they inspire confidence, renew minds, and transform lives. When we declare we should remember that our mouths have the power of life and death, and those who love it eat it’s fruit (Proverbs 18:21). Declarations aid individuals to change their thinking by aligning thoughts with truth that is in Christ. Joel 3:10 says that, “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong”. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We are called to declare the power and blood of Jesus upon our lives, families and situations. Matthew 18:18 exhorts us of communal declarations saying, whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
PRAYER
Almighty Heavenly Father, how awesome and great is Your name. You are highly lifted up above all. Thank You for Your promises upon our lives, families, communities and nation. We declare that all Your promises upon our lives will come to pass in Jesus name. We declare that nothing will be impossible for us. May You continually bless us abundantly so that in all things at all times having all that we need, we may abound in every good work. May You bless us and keep us dear Jesus. May You shine Your face towards us and be gracious unto us. May You show Your countenance unto us and give us peace. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forevermore. Amen.
