Psalm 51:1-2 Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
INSIGHT -God loves you & Has multitudes of mercy.
PRAYER: Lord God have mercy on me for I have sinned against you. Blot out my transgressions & wash me with your precious blood. Create in me a clean heart full of love for You & renew Your spirit within me. Amen.
Psalm 25:6-8 ‘Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord. Good and upright is the Lord; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.’
INSIGHT -The Lord’s mercies & loving kindness are everlasting. – The Lord’s forgives sins & forgets about them. -The Lord’s directs sinners in the right direction. -This is the year of mercy, let us continue asking for mercy from The Lord.
PRAYER: Oh Lord my God, have mercy on me for Your tender mercies & lovingkindness endure forever. Forgive me my sins & remember not the transgressions of my youth. Teach me Your ways for You are good & upright forevermore. Amen.
Jeremiah 17:14-15 ‘Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise. Indeed they say to me, “Where is the word of the Lord? Let it come now!”
INSIGHT -Jeremiah Prays for Deliverance. -Repentance & confession brings about healing. -The Word of God also results to healing of the body, soul & spirit through God’s mercy.
PRAYER: Heal me, O Lord & I shall be healed. Save me & I shall be saved. You are The only One I praise. Heal my body & soul & restore my spirit with Your Holy Word. Forgive my family members Oh Lord and restore us by Your precious blood. Amen.
1 John 1:8-10 ‘If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.’
INSIGHT -We are all flesh & need to ask for forgiveness always. -John writes that we need to ask for forgiveness & cleansing & He will grant us. -Jesus sacrificed His life for our sins, therefore His Word should dwell within us always.
PRAYER: Jesus Christ, forgive me a sinner. You died on the cross for my sins, cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Dwell in my heart always Father & lead me in the paths of righteousness as I wait to inherit Your Kingdom. Amen
Matthew 6:12 ‘And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.’
INSIGHT -Jesus teaches how to pray The Lord’s prayer. -We ask for forgiveness from God as we also forgive those who wrong us.
PRAYER: My Father in heaven, forgive me my sins & give me the grace to forgive others’ debts & trespasses. Cleanse me & make me a new creation as I begin the year. Amen. Please meditate on this week’s theme, confession of sins.
