THEME: GOODNESS OF GOD

Ephesians 5:8-11 NKJV

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.”

INSIGHT

–Apostle Paul reveals that believers were darkness and not that we were in darkness. We have become light coutesy of the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ. Through the gift of salvation, God releases to us a new identity and reminds us that life without Christ is futile. Living as children of light therefore is a call to reflect God’s character in our daily conduct and not engage in works of darkness through sin. We are called to surrender our lives to Christ who transforms us to be more like Him and to become His ambassadors on earth daily.

PRAYER

Abba Father we thank You for this day. You are our only God we put all our hope and trust in You. Lord You say in Your word that cursed is the man who trusts in man, but blessed is the man who puts his trust and hope in You. Lord You have made us the salt of the earth and the light of the world, that we may let our light shine before men, so that they may see our good works and glorify You God our Father in heaven. May You anoint us afresh dear precious Holy Spirit and fill with the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility and self control. May You help us to be effective and excellent in every good work and grant us Your favor and grace in all things that we may always say no to sin and yes to righteousness. We honor You Lord and give You praise, and it is in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen
