THEME: FAVOR FROM GOD
Luke 2:52 NKJV
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”
INSIGHT
–Jesus obtained favor before God the Father and men. Favor is the divine grace that enables us to access certain levels of physical and spiritual enlightenment causing us to see God and experience Him in new light.
SUMMARY
Favor in Hebrew is chen and charis in Greek which means gaining approval, acceptance, or special benefits or blessings. There is also a close association among favor, grace and mercy. Firstly, favor from provides us with shelter and protection. Psalms 5:12 says that favor surrounds us like a shield. Secondly, God is a sun and shield; giving us provision and protwction, and bestows favor and honor upon us (Psalms 84:11-12). Thirdly, when favor rests upon us, His favor establishes the work of our hands (Psalms 90:17). Forthly, when someone finds a wife he obtains favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22).
PRAYER
Lord You are gracious and kind, may Your favor always be available to us and our loved ones. Lord You are gracious and kind unto us. May You tender love, kindness and favor offer us protection, provision, care, sustenance and salvation for the next level in life. May You dear Lord Jesus supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory. May You dear Lord Jesus bless us and keep us, may Your face shine towards us and be gracious to us, may You show us Your countenance and give us peace. Amen
