THEME: GOD ANSWERS

Matthew 7:7-11 NKJV

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”

INSIGHT

God is faithful to give us what we ask Him and when we need it. Often times, God answers before we call (Isaiah 65:24). God calls us to keep asking, seeking and knocking, and when the door opens, we should remember to thank Him, and this should not be conditional prayer.

SUMMARY

The theme God answers prayers is foundational for every believer. Answer in Hebrew is anah which means to response or fulfill a purpose. Prayer in simple terms means to communicate and commune with God. It is fundamental and the essence of our faith, whereby the fervent prayer of a righteous man avail much (James 5:15). God instructs that we should pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17). Having confidence that whatever we ask according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14-15). God calls us to call unto Him, and He will answer us, and show us great and mighty things, which we do not know (Jeremiah 33:3). God is faithful to answer us in the day of trouble (Psalms 20:1-5) and in the day of peace. Prayer should be embedded on faith. Abraham exercised his faith in God and His promises. He did not consider his old age and Sarah’s womb as dead since she was old, but He was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised (Romans 4:19-21).

PRAYER

We praise You Lord, for You have answered us, and have become our salvation. You are our God who answers prayer, and Your word never fails. You never fail Lord. You are perfect in all Your ways. You are the same, yesterday, today and forever. May You answer us when we call. May You respond to all our supplications, thanksgiving and petitions. May You guide us on the way we should go and deliver us from all evil. In every sphere of our lives may You answer, be it physical, spiritual, relational, psychological, economic and financial. May Your name be known and exalted in our homes, families, churches and nations, as You release Your salvation grace. Thank You for everything that You have done unto us and continue to do for us. Dear Lord Jesus, may You do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask of or think of according to the power that is at work in us. Lord, we trust in You and exalt You. We believe that You are able to do more than we can think of or imagine. We believe that we shall be extremely fruitful since we abide in You and You in us. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in Your house forever. May You bless us and keep us loving Father, may You shine Your face upon us and be gracious to us. May You lift up Your countenance towards us and give us peace. Amen

Blessed Weekend
