2 Timothy 4:3-5 NKJV

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

INSIGHT

–We live in such a time when a generations heart’s have grown cold to sound doctrine but move according to their own desires. A generation that has itching ears and have turned away from the truth. Let us pray for God’s wisdom upon the present generation and the generations to come that only the name of the Lord will be worshipped. The Lord calls us to be diligent and present ourselves approved to God, workers who do not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, and to shun profane and idle babbling, that increase ungodliness (2 Timothy 2:15-16). Let us pray that the Lord may grant us the grace, wisdom and the strength to understand and preach His true word. Also to endure affliction, remain alert, continue in the work of evangelism as we fulfill our ministries.

PRAYER

Father we thank You for Your goodness and love. Thank You for You are good and Your mercies endures forever. Lord Jesus Your wisdom is supreme and the wisdom of the world is foolishness to You, and You catch the wise in their own craftiness, have mercy on us Lord. Abba Father You know the thoughts of the wise, they are futile. May You help and to be humble and wise at the same time, taking heed to Your true word. May You grant us the grace and strength to do well in the work that You have called us to do. We pray for all our pastors, priests, elders, deacons, bishops and all church leaders, that You may empower them with Your wisdom and grace to shepherd the flock for which dear Lord You purchased at a price by Your precious blood, that none will be lost to savage wolves. May You empower each one of us to run our race and finish our course which You have called us, as we walk in step with You precious Holy Spirit. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus mighty name. Amen
