Galatians 4:3-7
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
INSIGHT
-We are descendants or offspring’s of Abraham & joint heirs of Christ/ The Holy Spirit dwells in our hearts & our offspring is blessed/ God seeks godly offsprings/ Jesus is the Root & Offspring of David/ God sent His son into the world so that we may receive the adoption as sons & thus heirs of God through Christ.
-Son in this context indicates both male & female
PRAYER
Thank You, Father for this far that You have taken us. We have seen Your hand in all things. Reveal Yourself to us as we celebrate the birth of Your Son; Jesus & dawn in our hearts a new realization that we are also Your son’s, so that all our weaknesses may become strenghts in faith. May new graces, intelligence, wisdom, knowledge & understanding be birthed in our hearts so that we may see You with more clarity as we begin a new year. Amen
