THEME: CHARGED BY FAITH
Mark 5:34
“And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
INSIGHT
-The above scripture wraps us the story of the woman with the issue of blood. This disease was a chronic hemorrhage, for which she had found no relief from the physicians, but suffered for twelve years. According to the law, her condition she was considered unclean (Leviticus 15:25–33), and if exposed, the couple would be separate from their people (Leviticus 20:18). Even though these laws applied, she had hope of getting better. She spent all her resources but could not get better but worse. She got charged by her faith when she heard about Jesus, and pursued Him, with the hope of receiving healing. She trusted that by only a touching the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be healed. Jesus discloses that it is her faith that made her well, and He granted her peace. We know that this was not a natural occurrence but supernatural having knowledge that faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit, and we cannot acquire it on our own. Jesus called her daughter for it is through faith that we become children of God (Galatians 3:26). We are reminded to put our trust in God in every situation however difficult, for nothing is impossible with God.
PRAYER
We come at Your feet dear Jesus asking for mercy. Have mercy on us Jesus and show us Your grace. Heal our hearts merciful Savior and help us to hold fast our faith in You. May You heal all those who are sick in our families and all over the world, and comfort them in Your peace. Jesus You are the Prince of peace, may we experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding in our hearts, minds, homes, families, churches, society and the world at large. May the joy of Your salvation accompany us wherever we go. We are Your children Abba Father, may You grant us Your peace and grace. Have mercy on us and on the whole world. May You heal our physical, emotional, psychological, financial, political and economic wounds, and grant us Your favor before You and before men. May You grant us the gift of healing that we may do more for the glory of Your name. Our Father who art in heaven; hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil; for thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory; forever and ever. Amen
Blessed Thursday
