THEME: WEAPONS OF WAR

2 Corinthians 10:4-6

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

INSIGHT

-Weapons of war literally symbolize elements used in battle. In a spiritual perspective, before a war is won in the natural, one has to be victorious in the spirit. As believers, we should always be aware of the schemes of the enemy and how to win our battles. The Lord has provided us with a variety of spiritual weapons that work to our advantage and for the benefit of His kingdom. Isaiah 58:6 tells us, “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke?” It is through fasting that we win every war that present itself in form of heavy burdens, wickedness and yokes fashioned by the enemy who comes to kill, steal and destroy. We are also called to pray always and make and supplication in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:18). It is important then to incorporate prayer and fasting so that we may break every bondage and chain that brings forth infirmity, lack, delay, diseases and death. In Matthew 17:21, Jesus says that, “..this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Prayer and fasting is a powerful combination of weaponry that enables us to pull down every stronghold, casts down every argument and high thing that exults itself against the knowledge of God, and enables us to live victoriously each day.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith. We thank You for Your goodness and grace upon our lives. As we come to the end of this month of May, we count our blessings and name them one by one. We have seen Your hand of grace working in our lives, families, churches, ministries, businesses, work places and nation. It is by grace through faith that You have saved us and not by our works lest anyone should boast. We thank You for Your saving grace upon our lives, take control of everything that pertains us dear Jesus. We are more than conquerors in You Jesus. We shall succeed in all the we do and be of good health because You are always with us Lord. We have victory in You Jesus for nothing is impossible with You. Sanctify us, our families, leaders, purposes, churches and nations with Your precious blood merciful Savior. We break every chain, we pull down every stronghold, we cast down every argument and every high thing that exults itself against Your knowledge Lord and bring every thought into captivity to Your obedience Jesus Christ. We have victory in You Jesus. We have victory by Your precious blood. We receive powerful breakthroughs in Your name Jesus. We declare that our environment and destinies are filled with Your presence Lord  and power, and nothing will hinder our progress and success in Your name Jesus. We shall bear much fruit in Your name Jesus Christ, for the glory and honor of Your name. Amen
