THEME: THE ANTI-CHRIST

1 John 2:22-23

“Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.”

INSIGHT

-Many people have a different notion of who the antichrist is. As revealed from the above scriptures, the antichrist is a person who denies that Jesus is the Christ and that Jesus is God. Jesus as the Christ means the Anointed one and the Messiah. Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ does not believe in His resurrection power. Matthew 28:11-15, gives an account of a falsified message of the resurrection of Christ. When the guards came and told chief priests of the events that happened during resurrection, they conspired with the elders to bride the guards to conceal the truth. They therefore spread decisive messages to the Jews and many people and, religions do not believe in Jesus’ resurrection to this day. Afterwards, many theories were advanced to inculcate falsehood through the resurrection story including and not limited to:- The theft theory, unknown tomb theory, the swoon or resuscitation theory, the hallucination theory, the impersonation theory etc. God the Father gave us His only begotten Son to be the atonement of our sins, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Anyone who denies that the Father and the Son are One, together with the Holy Spirit has the spirit of the antichrist. Therefore he/she denies the power of the Triune God and the Holy Trinity. Therefore, whoever then denies the Son does not have the Father, but anyone who believes in the Son has the Father, and has eternal life.

PRAYER

Holy Trinity One God, we come to You this morning with humble adoration. We thank You and glorify Your holy name for You are good and Your mercies endures forever. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords, God the Almighty. We humbly ask You Father to forgive us all our sins, sins we have committed knowingly and unknowingly, sins of our family members, sins of our ancestors, sins of our president and leaders, sins of our nation and of the whole world. Wash us with Your precious blood and protect us from all kinds of evil. We declare that no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper and every tongue that every tongue which rises against us in judgment is condemn in name of Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your righteousness upon our lives, we belong to You Jesus. Thank You for making us a new creation in You Jesus Christ. We believe in You Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and acknowledge that only You are God. We believe that You died Jesus and resurrected so that we may have life and life in abundance. Help us to walk in power and fulfil our mandates here on earth dear Jesus; for the glory of Your name. Remember merciful Savior those who do not believe in You and Your word of truth that You may touch them and grant them the gift of eternal life. Be with all the candidates who are sitting for their final exams that You may grant them success dear Jesus. Remember all those who are sick and suffering that You may stretch Your healing hand upon them. Be with all those who are undergoing hardship in life that You may open many doors for them merciful Father. Be with all those who facing relational or marital issues that You may grant them peace. Have mercy on all those who are waiting on You for marriage that You may answer their prayers and hearts desires. Thank You Jesus for Your goodness and love upon our lives. We bless Your name and glorify You now and forever, Amen.
