THEME: KINGDOM OF GOD
Mark 4:26-29
“And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
INSIGHT
-Jesus outlined the parable of the growing seed to explain His kingdom. He describes how it is a mystery to us how a seed grows into a mature plant without our full consciousness. It is also a mystery how such growth cannot be fully controlled by anyone but God alone. In the same ways, God tells us not to worry about anything for before we ask, He already knows what we need. God created all things and we were not involved in the creation process. God provides for all our needs and calls us to put our trust in Him. The kingdom of God dictates that we should not worry about anything but in everything give thanks to Him, for this is His will through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
PRAYER
Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God and the great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth. The heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if you listen to His voice harden not your hearts, as in rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness. Lord, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. We cast all our burdens and cares unto You Jesus; for You care for us. Thank You for protecting us, clothing us with us peace, filling us hearts with joy and love, sustaining us and providing for us all our needs. Hosanna to the Son of David, blessed is He Who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest. Amen
Blessed Thursday
