Exodus 2:10
“And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. So she called his name Moses, saying, “Because I drew him out of the water.”
INSIGHT
-Child in Hebrew is written as yeled which can be sighted in innumerable places of the Bible having different meanings & implications.
-Jochebed the mother of Moses strategically placed him in an ark near Pharaoh’s house & when her daughter came to bath, she found him. Coming from the family of Levites the tribe of priests, Moses was ordained by God to deliver the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Pharaoh’s daughter accepted Moses as her own child integrating him into the family of kings & named him Moses for he was drawn from water; a picture of baptism. In the same way; Jesus our Savior began His ministry by being baptized in the river Jordan where the Holy Spirit descended upon Him & God said “This is my beloved Son, with Whom I am well pleased”(Mat 3:16-17). Through the blood of Jesus, we have been made priests & kings to Him Who is worthy of all glory & dominion forever & ever (Rev 1:6), & have been called to take charge of our different callings & environments wherever we are.
PRAYER
We thank You Abba Father for Your goodness & mercy upon our lives, families & nation, all glory & dominion belongs to You. We submit our hearts to You in the humility of little children ready to be taught & directed by You Holy Spirit, have mercy on us. You have made us kings & priests by Your precious blood Jesus, help us to take charge of our different callings according to Your will. Have mercy on all those who are sick & suffering Jesus, those who are struggling in business, work, unemployment, marriages, relationships, families, school & those who lack basic needs. Revive all the sectors of our economy & hear all our petitions Father, we humbly ask You. Give us innovative ideas, gifts & talents to handle new opportunities Father. All glory & dominion belongs to You Lord; forever & ever. Amen
