John 6:54-56
Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
INSIGHT
-Heb 9:26-28, priests offered animal sacrifice for themselves & the people once a year for their sins but Jesus put away sin by sacrifice of Himself for us & He will come again for our salvation.
-By partaking of the body & blood of Christ(Holy communion), we abide in Him & access eternal life.
-Jesus is our High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek/ the priests belong to God as inheritance/ when we reject knowledge we are rejected by God/ Jesus is the High priest over the house of God.
PRAYER
Jesus our High Priest, cleanse us from all unrighteousness & increase our love for You. May we abide in You by believing in You. Increase our faith in Your divine Word as we await in hope for salvation by Your second coming. As we partake of Your body and blood; may access eternal life. Amen
