THEME: ROCK
1 Corinthians 10:1-4
“Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.”
INSIGHT
-God gave the Israelites manna for sustenance & spiritual food through Moses by the 10 commandments. Christ later presented Himself as the bread of life for our spiritual food that we may never hunger. Again Moses struck the rock at Horeb for the Israelite’s nourishment. Christ then gave us the Holy Spirit that our spirits may never thirst & remain anchored on Christ Jesus our Rock.
PRAYER
Lord King of glory, You are our Rock of ages we praise Your name. You parted the Red sea Lord for the Israelites liberty, Father baptize us with Your holy fire & cover us with Your precious blood. You provided manna for the children of Israel in the wilderness Father, remember us Your children Father & provide for all our needs. You gave the Israelites water from a rock, we thirst for You Lord; the Rock of our salvation fill us with Your living waters that we may always remain in Your grace. Amen
