Job‬ ‭42‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”

INSIGHT
-Dust and ashes are often times a sign of humility and repentance. Job had only only heard of the Lord but now he had seen Him with the eyes of faith and spiritual understanding. Though Job’s experience we learn to accept God’s ways in Him, which may include suffering and restoration.

SUMMARY
Soil in Greek is written as édafos terrain, territory, ground, glebe and chó̱ma earth, dirt, ground. God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being (Genesis 2:7). God formed us out of the soil of the ground and to dust we will return upon our death (Genesis 3:19). Noah was a man of the soil and planted a vineyard (Genesis‬ ‭9‬:‭20‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬). Cain was also a farmer and brought forth fruit of the soil and gave an offering to the Lord (Genesis‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬‬‬‬‬‬‬). As per God’s regulations in Leviticus‬ ‭27‬:‭30‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬, we are called to give a tithe of everything from the land, for the grain of the soil and fruit from the trees, which belong to the Lord. An analogy is revealed on the process that catalyzes the soil to sprout seed and garden makes the seed to grow, so the Sovereign Lord makes righteousness and praise spring up before all nations (Isaiah 61:11). God promised the Israelites an inheritance in possession of land conditionally if they follow His decrees and laws (Deuteronomy‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬‬‬‬‬‬‬). God calls us to follow His decrees and do His will and we will obtain an eternal inheritance by His grace. Through the parable of the sower, the Lord reminds us that we should focus fully on Him and we will bear much fruit in His kingdom (Matthew 13:3-8).

PRAYER
Father, we bless Your holy and Mighty Name. We lift You high above all in the earth and in our lives. You are great and greatly to be praised. Lord we thank You for all You have done for us. You have done great and mighty things which we cannot explain. You have been our Faithful Father and we exalt You and magnify You. Father we repent for the many sins we have done said and thought. May You cleanse and sanctify us by Your precious blood. We surrender ourselves as vessels of honor that You may purify us and use us for Your kingdom. We wear ash and dust in humble adoration asking You to forgive us all our sins and iniquities and wash us with Your precious blood. May You dear Lord Jesus bless us, bless the crops of our land and young of our livestock, the calves of our herds, lamb of our flock and fruit of our womb. May You crown the year with bounty and may our carts overflow with abundance. ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬May You bless us abundantly so that in all things at all times having all that we need, we may abound in every good work. May You bless us and keep us dear Jesus. May You shine Your face towards us and be gracious unto us. May You show Your countenance unto us and give us peace. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forevermore. Amen.
