Hebrews 4:8-10
For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
INSIGHT
-In Joshua 11:23, So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land rested from war. Mat 11:28-29, Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
-Joshua gave the Israelites inheritance & the land was at peace but Christ died on the cross for our eternal life & freedom from all tribulations.
PRAYER
We cast all our burdens unto You; Oh Lord Jesus, for You care for us. We humbly ask You to forgive us all our sins & give us rest from all that causes us distress. Thank You for Your eternal love for us. Amen
