Revelation of the Word:
Revelation of the Word 21/12/2023 Admin
THEME: ENJOYMENT
Ecclesiastes 2:24-26 NIV
”A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment? To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.“
INSIGHT
–God is the author of joy and enjoyment, and without Him who can find it. Only in God does life have meaning and true pleasure. Without Him nothing satisfies but with Him we find satisfaction and enjoyment. To those who please Him through faith (Hebrew 11:6), He gives contemporary and eternal pleasures, as those who don’t toil for the favored. Isaiah 62:11 reveals the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with His reward and recompense. He comes with the gift of salvation and calls all of us to believe and trust in Him so that we may find eternal enjoyment.
PRAYER
Almighty Heavenly Father we thank You for this year and for all You have been and have done for us. We love and worship You this day and forevermore. We are amazed at all Your works and what You can do Oh Lord. No man can do what You can do and only You can satisfy our souls. May Your birth dear Jesus cause true joy and enjoyment in our lives, families, churches, country and all the nations. Thank You for Your word that teaches us that if we please You, You will give us wisdom, knowledge and happiness, may You teach us to please You and to walk in Your light. Lord we thank You for Your promises and fulfilled Word. Oh Lord, we humbly repent all the sins we have said, done and thought. All that has not pleased You may You forgive us and purify us by Your precious blood. May You teach us Your ways and lead us by Your Holy Spirit and how to please You oh Lord. May You increase our faith in You and grant us and our loved one’s true salvation. We surrender our lives to You and humbly implore You Holy Spirit to fill us afresh and guide us in all things. We pray that even the nation of Kenya shall please You oh Lord and our families, friends and communities. May You help us to enjoy this festive season in a Godly way. We pray all this in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
