Psalms 119:45 NIV
“I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.”
INSIGHT
-The commands of the Lord deliver freedom as a guide to life in entirety. This verse does not refer much to external troubles or hindrances to being oppressed and straitened by external foes, as to internal chains and the servitude of sin, that is the slavery of appetite and passion. In this regards, 1 John 5:1-4 delivers that, “everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”
PRAYER
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to Your word Lord. I seek You with all my heart, do not let me stray from Your commands. I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You. Praise be to You, Lord; teach me Your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from Your mouth. I rejoice in following Your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on Your precepts and consider Your ways. I delight in Your decrees; I will not neglect Your word. May You remember us with mercy Lord and all the youth all over the world Lord that You may draw us to Yourself. May You deliver us from every fleshly passions that has become a snare in our lives and fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit. May You impart our heart’s with Your love merciful Savior and teach us to for follow Your statutes and remain free from evil pleasures. May You fill our hearts with Your grace and teach us precious Holy Spirit how to do Your will. We deliver all our plans and desires unto You that You may lead us on the way that we should go. All glory and honor belongs to You now and forever. Amen
