Acts 9:39-40
Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them. But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.
INSIGHT
-Apostle Peter raised Tabitha/Dorcas a disciple of Jesus who was full of charitable works from the dead by the power of Christ.
-Tabitha/Dorcas who engaged in charity & good works was sick & died. The people summoned Peter, who performed the miracle after which they believed in the Lord.
-The upper room was a place of prayer & where great miracles took place.
PRAYER
Jesus, I believe in You. Lead me to the upper room where You raised Tabitha by Your mighty power. I need a miracle Lord in my current situation. I ask for mercy from You everyday in all that I’m going through. Lead, strengthen & give me peace Father, all the days of my life. Amen.
