HELPER

Psalm 54:4 ‘Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who uphold my life.’

INSIGHT -The Lord is our strength & rescuer. -The Lord always sends people to assist us in various situations in life. -In Hebrew helper is written as “ezer” which had two roots meaning to ‘rescue/save’ & ‘strength.’
-In Exodus 18:4, Moses named one his sons Eliezer (for he said, “The God of my father was my help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh”).

PRAYER: Lord God, You are my refuge & strength. Thank You for Your love & for sending Your only son Jesus to save me. Thank You also for Your everlasting love & mercy in my life. You are my protector & strength in all my weaknesses, save me Lord. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Hebrews 13:6 So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

INSIGHT -Apostle Paul writes that the Lord is our Helper & we should not fear anything. -Fear is an evil spirit which should not have a place in our lives. With the spirit of fear we lack faith thus fail to please God.
-In Luke 10:19, Jesus gives us all authority over the power of the enemy & assures us that nothing can hurt us.

PRAYER: Jesus my Savior, You are my helper. I invite you into my heart to strengthen me with Your divine power to shed off the Spirit of fear from my life. I will not fear anyone or anything because You Lord have given me all authority over the enemy. I pray this believing & trusting in Your Holy Name. Amen.

John 14:16: And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever

INSIGHT -Jesus tells His disciples that He will give them another helper when He ascends to heaven. -Jesus recognises the need for a Helper (Holy Spirit) all the time to help us continue with His works & assist us in doing His will.

PRAYER: Come Holy Spirit into my heart & kindle in me the fire of Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humilty & self-control. Abide in me forever & instill in me the gift of faith, wisdom & understanding. Strengthen, comfort & heal me from all sicknesses, failures & weaknesses. Guide my thoughts & my actions that they may always be Holy. Amen.

Genesis 2:18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

INSIGHT -A woman is also a helper. -She should help the man accomplish God’s calling into her husbands life while praying for her family. -1 Tim 2:14-15 says Adam was not deceived but the woman; nevertheless she will be saved if she continues in Faith, love & holiness with self-control. -The woman (helper) should always seek the fruits & gifts of the main Helper (Holy Spirit) to cement her family in Christ.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, give me the grace of a prayerful family. A family which seeks your strength, help & direction in all matters. I come to you today in prayer & supplication; praying for our entire family, nation, leaders, church, the nation of Israel & gifts that come from You. I seek your way, truth & light in everything Jesus. Amen.

Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

INSIGHT -Jesus is our Helper as He assist us offload our heavy burdens to find peace & joy. -Jesus tells us that we should go to Him with all our issues, sicknesses, failures, anxiety, fear, sorrows & He will give us rest.

PRAYER: Jesus my Father, You are the creator of heaven & earth nothing is impossible with You. You died on the cross for me, come to my help. You are my Helper. Help me in all my difficulties, anxieties, sicknesses, needs & fears. I glorify, honor & praise Your Holy Name forever. Amen. Our Father who at in Heaven; Hallow be thy Name……
