Genesis 1:28
“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
INSIGHT
-The Hebrew word for dominion is radah which means to rule, dominate, tread down, tread upon or to subdue. The Lord has released the grace of dominion and ruler-ship upon mankind that we may rule upon every animal, bird and fish, and bear fruit. This is the dominion that came by virtue of God’s creation, making us in His own image and likeness (Genesis 1:26). God has created us to be kings and priests to Him, and to reign the earth (Revelation 5:10). God is the King of kings and Lord of lords and He desires that we conquer all for the glory and honor of His name. Jesus confirms that we are more valuable that birds of the air, which do not sow, reap or store in bans yet the Heavenly Father feeds them (Matthew 6:25-26). Jesus requires that we bear much fruit in whatever that we have been called to do. He purifies our hearts and reminds us to hear His word and keep it so that we may bear fruit, some thirty, others sixty and a hundred fold (Matthew 13:23). Jesus calls us to make peace in every situation that we may bear the fruit of righteousness (James 3:18). Let us also continually ask God to fill us with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that we may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10).

For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
INSIGHT
-It was by one man’s offense that death reigned through the one, but much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through Jesus Christ. It was through one man’s offense that judgment came to all men resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. It was by one man’s disobedience that many were made sinners, and better still by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Moreover, the law entered that the offense might abound, but where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 5:17-21). To be under the law is tying to earn salvation with our own strength but under grace is to be justified and live by the indwelling power of Christ. We can die to sin, not because of the law forbidding it, but because of the abundant grace that God provides. Christ suffered once for our sins that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit by His grace (1 Peter 3:18).
PRAYER
Oh LORD, our God, how majestic is Your name in all the earth. You are great and mighty to be praised. There is truly none like You in all the earth. You keep all Your promises for You are so faithful. We worship You and exalt Your holy name today. Thank You God for this new month. We honor You God and bless Your Name. May You sanctify us and cleanse us with Your precious blood Lord Jesus. We commit this new month of February unto You and pray that You shall be exalted and enthroned forever. We pray that we shall extend the dominion and reign that You bestowed upon us through Your Son Jesus Christ, upon the power of sin and death. Sin and death have no power over us for You dwell in us and with us Holy Spirit. Today in this new month, we subdue our flesh and the fleshly worldly desires by the Power that raised Jesus Christ from the grave. Father we ask for Your grace that You have given us so that we may overcome sin and all fleshly desires to be upon us and fill us more and more. Father we pray that You will guide us in the way of righteousness away from sin and the slavery of sin. We also pray for our families, friends and nation, that death will have no dominion over our lives. Break every chain that presents itself like death in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We come against the spirit of death and we declare that death has lost its sting over our lives in Jesus name, and by the power that raised Jesus Christ from the grave death is defeated in Jesus Mighty Name. We declare that we shall live and not die to declare Your goodness Oh Lord. We declare that we shall not die before our time in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We pray that You shall protect us from every snare of the devil and heal us from all sickness and infirmities dear Jesus. We pray that You shall take over and reign in our lives and in all that we do. Thank You Dear Lord for You are faithful and You are able to do all this beyond what we can ask for and even think of. Thank You Lord for Your exceeding grace and power upon our lives which You richly give unto us. We trust in You faithful God. “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
INSIGHT
-The Lord assures us protection from the powers of darkness, if we put our trust in Him. If we are in Christ, we are a new creation and have dominion over serpents and scorpions and all the power of the enemy. Psalms 91:13-14 reaffirms this fact to us that, we shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent we shall trample underfoot, if we love the Lord. Mark 16:17-18 demystifies this fact by reminding us that those who have faith in Jesus shall cast out demons in His name, take up serpents and shall by no means experience harm even if they drink anything poisonous, they shall speak in new tongues, lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Jesus reminds us to be bold and courageous, and to shun away from fear for He has won victory for us, and has placed all things under His feet (Ephesians 1:22).
PRAYER
Praise be to the Lord our Rock, who trains our hands for war and our fingers for battle. Dear Lord You are our loving God, our all-time protection and our fortress, our stronghold and our deliverer, our fortress and our shield, in whom we put all our trust. You have given us dominion over the powers of darkness in Your name Jesus, we trust in You. By Your power Holy Spirit, who raised Jesus from the grave, we come against every principality and power of darkness working against us, our families, societies, and our nation Kenya, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We pull down every opposition, obstacle and accusation in the Mighty Name of the the Lord Jesus. We put them under the feet of Jesus Christ for we have victory in You dear Jesus. No evil fashioned against us shall prosper and no tongue raised against us shall prevail in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We break every chain by the blood of Jesus. May You heal our hearts and increase our faith in You dear Jesus. May we walk in power as You have called. May You heal all those who are sick and suffering merciful Savior. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
INSIGHT
-The tongue has great power and dominion over our lives, situations and environment. Great care must be taken on the words we speak, that we may edify each other. James 3:5-6 reminds us that a tongue is a small member but boast about great things, like a fire which can destroy an entire forest. The tongue is a world of iniquity and can defile the whole body, setting on fire the course of nature by hell. When words abound sin is not lacking, but the prudent hold their tongues (Proverbs 10:19). We are called to ask for wisdom from the Lord that we may know how to address the Lord and one another through love. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body (James 3:2). Great care must thus be taken to prevent quarrels among relations and those under obligations to each other. Wisdom make it easy to forgive and speak grace to each other and our situations; but corruption makes it difficult. A gracious tongues edifies others and causes both inward and external peace. God gives us wisdom and purifies our hearts that our hearts may bear good fruit. The Holy Spirit gives us the fruit of love that we may be blessing to one another, and sets up apart to a path of prosperity and enjoyment of pleasant fruit forever.
PRAYER

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,”
INSIGHT
-Jesus loves us with unending love that He died for our sins and cleansed us with His precious, making us holy by His grace. It is by grace through faith that we have been made righteous and not by our works lest anyone should boast. We should then have confidence knowing that God raised us out of death into life and positioned us securely in Christ, whom all dominion belongs.
SUMMARY
The Lord from inception has intended us to have dominion. In the beginning before He created man, He purposed that man should have dominion over the fish, birds, cattle, over all the earth and every creeping cattle (Genesis 1:26). We are stewards created in the image and likeness of God, called to take care of what the Lord has entrusted upon us. The Lord has also given us authority to tread over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, with the assurance that nothing shall hurt us (Luke 10:19). Due to the fact that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and has destroyed the power of death and hades. Christ, having died once and raised from the dead, death no longer has dominion over Him (Romans 6:9). We then have victory in Jesus for we trust in Him and His power of resurrection. Therefore, sin has no dominion over us for we not under the law but under grace (Romans 6:14). God has saved us through grace and we are seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places. If then we are seated with Christ in heavenly places, and everything under His feet, we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus and His ambassadors.
PRAYER

We ask You dear Jesus to remove any accusation against us and give us victory in all things for the glory and honor of Your name. We thank You, honor and exalt You, and we pray that if there is anything that may hinder us from accessing our blessings be broken right now in Your name Jesus. We are more than conquerors in You Jesus, and nothing will ever harm us. We are ambassadors of You dear Jesus, may You take charge of our lives, families, work, ministries, churches and nation, for the glory and honor of Your name. We pray this in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
