COURT OF HEAVEN COURT OF HEAVEN
Daniel 7:10 “A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood... COURT OF HEAVEN

Daniel 7:10

“A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.”

INSIGHT

-As we have courts here on earth, we have a court in heaven which sits to resolve critical matters. The accuser takes accusations against us that cause sickness, delay, infirmities but our Righteousness Judge; the Ancient of Days intercedes for us. Through the blood of Jesus, we have legal right to access the court of heaven and Jesus Christ our Advocate defends us. We also see that there are books in heaven which include the book of life, book of destiny etc. King David speaks of the book of his destiny and the days fashioned for him before he was formed (Psalms 139:16). We all have books of destiny in heaven and a purpose to accomplish before we return to our Father. As Daniel saw a dream revealing the essential court of heaven, we access the court through faith in Jesus Christ. We are called to go with boldness to the throne of grace that we may access mercy and grace at the time of need. The Lord has promised never to leave us nor forsake us for He has won victory for us. God is all powerful and is seated at His throne in glory, where multitudes minister unto Him.

PRAYER

We thank You Father and praise You for enabling us to see this new day. It is not by our power nor our might but by Your Spirit Lord. We praise You and glorify Your holy name. Lord we repent all our sins, sins we have committed knowingly and unknowingly. Sins of our parents, grandparents, relatives, leaders, churches, nation and of the entire world. Wash us Jesus with Your precious blood for when our sins were as red as crimson, You have made them as white as snow. All glory and righteousness belongs to You Ancient of Days. I come into the court of heaven through faith and request that the court be seated according to Daniel 7:10 to hear my case. Jesus You are my righteousness Judge, I humbly ask You to intercede for me. As I come to the courts of heaven through faith, may Your blood which speaks better things than that of Abel speak on my behalf. Any idle word or curse that has been spoken to me or by me is revoked of it’s legal rights and I am free from them by Your blood Jesus. Any accusation that is causing sickness, infirmity, lack, defeat, delay, blockage in my divine purpose and prosperity is defeated by Your blood Jesus. May Your will be done in our lives dear Lord. Jesus You have won victory for us through the cross, thank You for loving us with Your everlasting love. All glory, honor, power, wisdom and strength belong to You Lord, now and forever. Amen

Daniel‬ ‭7:26-27‬ ‭‬‬‬‬

“But the court shall be seated, And they shall take away his dominion, To consume and destroy it forever. Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’’

INSIGHT
-These passages of scripture echo the book of Revelation 17 to 20. There will be four beasts arising on earth to represent four kingdoms. The fourth beast will be greater than the other three; and it will devour the earth and try to change times and the law, and persecute the saints. Presumably this will be the kingdom of Babylon whose systems will corrupt the earth and leader is satan. The court will be seated, and the Ancient of Days will dethrone the beast off all authority in judgement and he will be cast into the lake of fire, and the authority will be given to God’s saints. God’s Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.

PRAYER
Salvation, glory, honor and power belongs to You our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we humbly ask that You write the names of all Your people in the book of life. We thank You for the privilege that You have given us through Your blood of Jesus to access the court of heaven. Heavenly Father we repent all the sins we have committed knowingly and unknowingly that the devil could be using to impede our progress in the court of heaven. Thank You Father for washing us with Your precious blood and making us clean. As we come before You Jesus, we request that You our Advocate argue our case. We ask for divine restraining orders against premature death, the spirit of witchcraft, financial robbers, sickness, delayed purpose, economic sabotage, political instability, corruption, sexual immorality, broken marriages, miscarriages, lack, plagues, terrorism and all evils channeled against us, our families and nation. Jesus You paid the price for our freedom on the cross so that we may have life and life in abundance. Jesus we humbly beseech You to assign high ranking angels to enforce these divine restraining orders in our lives. May satan and all his agents be held in contempt of court if they try to violate any of these divine restraining orders. We are more than conquers in You Jesus because You won victory for us on the cross. May Your prefect work be manifested in our lives for the furtherance of Your Kingdom. Our Father who art in heaven; hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil; for thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory; forever and ever. Amen

Isaiah 3:11-14

“Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done. Youths oppress my people, women rule over them. My people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path. The Lord takes his place in court; he rises to judge the people. The Lord enters into judgment against the elders and leaders of his people: “It is you who have ruined my vineyard; the plunder from the poor is in your houses.”

INSIGHT

-He who oppresses the poor reproaches the the Maker, but he who honors Him has mercy on the needy (Proverbs 14:31). Isaiah addresses an impious people who oppress the poor, giving them a warning that they shall be recompensed for their crimes. Probably speaking to a king who oppressed the poor through high taxation policies and corrupt schemes. Also to elders and other leaders who led the people away from God, took away the resources of the poor through oppressive schemes like high commodity prices and embezzlement of funds. Oppression of the poor has been practiced since Biblical times and it is prevalent in our society today. This is a detestable thing before the eyes of the Lord and He brings judgment to those who practice it. Governments and leaders oppress the poor by embezzling public funds, apply corrupt means to gain wealth, raise taxes and thus high commodity prices, block other citizens from doing business by creating monopolies, use the poor to gain influence, popularity and wealth, give up their people and nations to foreign masters, shed innocent blood and have no regard for our Maker. Also, people oppress the poor by mistreating them and taking interest or profit from them (Ezekiel 18:17), exploit them and crushing them in court (Proverbs 22:22) and many other wicked schemes. We know that, whoever increases wealth by taking interest or profit from the poor amasses it for another, who will be kind to the poor (Proverbs 28:8). The rich man mistreated Lazarus by denying him basic needs like a decent meal by letting him eat the left overs from his table. The Lord judged him from His court and when he died; he ended up in hell while Lazarus went to heaven (Luke 16:19-31). When the rich man was wealth here on earth, he became eternally poor, while Lazarus gained eternal life. Jesus summarized the law into love. He commanded us to love him and our neighbours as ourselves. When He was rich, He became poor so that through His poverty we may become rich through grace (2 Corinthians 8:9). He came to proclaim good news to the poor, freedom to the prisoners and offer sight to the blind, set the oppressed free and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor (Luke 4:18-19). We are called to follow God’s will, be kind to the poor and walk in love for which reason; we were created.

PRAYER

Thank You Father for Your goodness and mercy upon our lives, and for this far that You have brought us. All glory and praise belongs to You. Lord You are God of all, God of the rich and the poor, all glory and praise belongs to You. Have mercy on all those who are poor all over the world, those who are sick, in prison, jobless, those who go without food, shelter, clothing, school fees and other basic needs. Be with all those who are unmarried, divorced, childless, experiencing marital issues, slow business growth, mourning the loss of their loved ones and suffering in one way or another, that You may grant us rest. Remember us with mercy Father for we are poor in spirit, that we may inherit Your everlasting Kingdom. You are our Provider and Sustainer Holy Spirit, reveal to us the deep things of God and do something new our lives. Forgive us Jesus for the times we have oppressed or neglected the poor and give us generous hearts, hearts filled with love. Deliver us Lord from any form of anger, bitterness, bloodshed, oppression, un-forgiveness and anything that is not of Your Kingdom, we humbly ask You. We cast all our burdens unto You, save us merciful Father. Jesus You are good and Your mercies endures forever. Father You are faithful and Your faithfulness is everlasting. Lord You are merciful and Your mercies endures forever. Amen

Psalms‬ ‭84:1-5‬ ‭

“How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young— a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.”

INSIGHT
-Our God is Lord of all, God of all created things in heaven and on earth. In His courts we find shelter and strength. In His courts we find strength and blessings for He is our only God; and we praise Him forevermore. As the sparrow finds a home, we find shelter in His courts. As the swallow finds a place of safety for her young, we find a resting place for our souls. As a deer pants for water, our souls long for You Oh Lord.

PRAYER
We enter Your gates with thanksgiving in our hearts Oh Lord our God, we enter Your courts with praise and proclaim Your goodness. You have gladdened our hearts and chastened our flesh, we give You thanks and praise. How lovely is Your dwelling place, Lord Almighty. How awesome are Your wondrous deeds, Lord our Creator. Our souls yearn, even faints, for Your courts Lord. Our heart and flesh cry out for You our living God. In You only Holy Spirit we live and have our being, we glorify Your holy name. Surely Your goodness and love shall follow us all the days of our lives, and we will dwell in You house LORD, forever. Amen

Luke 18:6-8

“Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

INSIGHT

-Jesus unveiled the parable of the unjust judge who avenged the widow righteously, lest she wearies him. Jesus brought out the point that, if the judge did not fear God nor regard man, and judged rightly, how much more will the Righteous Judge avenge His own elect who cry to Him day and night. God hears our prayers from His court in heaven and calls us to have faith in Him and He will avenge us speedily.

SUMMARY

It is important to realize that there is a court in heaven which is well constituted. The accuser; the devil presents accusations against us but we have God our Father; our Righteousness Judge and Jesus Christ our Advocate Who defend us. We should then enter His court with thanksgiving and repentance, pleading the blood of Jesus which gives us a legal right as His children. The Lord says My people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge and as such the pages of our books remain un-turned. Each one of us has a book where our purposes were written before we were conceived, and if we do not seek God’s divine grace through prayer, our lives may stagnate. We know that God has good plans for each one of us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. God’s plans for our lives will prevail according to the riches of His glory and we are called to put all our trust in Him. For He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). We should therefore approach His throne of grace and mercy with confidence where we find help at the time of need.

PRAYER

Lord our Father we put all our trust in You. We cast all our burdens unto You Lord for You care for us. Your burden is light and yoke is easy. You are our Pillar or strength, all our hope is in Your Salvation. You have told us to ask and it shall be given unto us, to seek and we shall find, to knock and the door shall be opened unto us. Father we ask through faith that You forgive us all our sins, heal all our wounds, grant us favor before You Lord and before men, bless our families and increase us, give us our inheritance according to Your divine will, make all the crooked paths straight, increase us in wisdom and love, accomplish Your purposes in our lives for the furtherance of Your Kingdom, impart the gift of salvation to Your people, deliver all nations from diseases, viruses and unrest, heal our land and nation from bloodshed, hatred, corruption, sexual immorality, idolatry, remove the judgement that causes us pain and bring us to life everlasting. We seek Your presence Holy Spirit at every moment of our lives. We knock at Your door of grace that we may dwell in Your courts of righteousness forever. Amen
