THEME: FEAR OF THE LORD
Isaiah 11:2 NKJV
“The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.”
INSIGHT
-Jesus received the seven Spirits which are available unto all believers. The Spirit of the LORD, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. Jesus delighted in this reverence, showing all believers how to approach God with adoration and trembling respect.
SUMMARY
The Fear of the LORD is the intentional posture of delighting in submission, respect, and honor towards God the Father. The fear of the LORD means to turn at the Lord’s rebuke as He makes His word known unto us (Proverbs 1:23). The fear of the LORD is accompanied by mercy and truth and atonement is provided for iniquity, helping us to depart from evil (Proverbs 16:6). The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life and helps us to turn away from the snares of death (Proverbs 14:27). The fear of the LORD activates a blessing and God grants us happiness, provision and everything that we need (Psalms 128:1-2 ). The fear of the LORD catalyzes protection and deliverance from all evil (Psalms 34:7-9).
PRAYER
LORD You reign, You are clothed with majesty. LORD You are clothed, You have girded Yourself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved. Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting. You say in Your word that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, may You grant us wisdom, knowledge and understanding. LORD You tell us that wisdom is the principal thing; that we should get wisdom and in all our getting, get understanding, may You fill us with Your gift of wisdom. May You anoint us afresh with Your Spirit of the fear of the LORD. May You help us and teach us to always do Your will, and forgive us all our sins and iniquities dear Jesus. May You bless us and keep us, may You shine Your face towards us and be gracious unto us, may You show us Your countenance and grant us peace. Amen
