THEME: BREAK EVERY CHAIN

Acts 16:25-26 NIV

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”

INSIGHT

Thanksgiving is a core ammunition against every weapon to break every chain. Paul and Silas imprisoned prayed and gave thanks, and they received their freedom. In John 8:36 we see that, Jesus sets us completely and unquestionably free.

SUMMARY

Chains are spiritual barriers that occur in ones life. They can be physical chains of imprisonment or spiritual chains that entangle one through the forces of wickedness. Isaiah 58:6 reveals that fasting is a key strategy to demolish chains of injustice and cords of the yoke to set the oppressed free. Psalms 107:14 discloses that God delivered the Israelites from Babylonian exile and He brings us out of darkness and shadows of death and breaks our chains in pieces. In Ezekiel 37:4-5 we find the prophesy of the dry bones, which hear the word of God, that the Lord causes breath to enter into them and they live. Finally, in Luke 4:18-19 we find that the Spirit of the Lord was upon Jesus, who was anointed to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set liberty those who are oppressed and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

PRAYER

Abba Father our Father we honor You and give You praise. There is no God but You and there is no savior besides You. Thank You for Your love and mercy that follows us all the days of our lives for we shall live in Your house Lord forever. You are good Shepherd and Shield, our ever present help in times of need. We shall remain steadfast and immovable in You. We shall continue to praise You and give thanks to You in all circumstances. May You break every chain in our lives, families, communities, businesses, jobs, nation and every area of our lives. Destroy every thing that raises itself against Your knowledge and will, bringing every thought into captivity to obedience in You Christ Jesus. May You bless us Lord and keep, may You make Your face to shine upon us and be gracious to us, may You shine Your countenance towards us and give us peace. Amen
