Psalms 131:1-3 MSG

“God, I’m not trying to rule the roost, I don’t want to be king of the mountain. I haven’t meddled where I have no business or fantasized grandiose plans. I’ve kept my feet on the ground, I’ve cultivated a quiet heart. Like a baby content in its mother’s arms, my soul is a baby content. Wait, Israel, for God. Wait with hope. Hope now; hope always!”

INSIGHT

–A Psalm of David disclosing his formular of praise given to humility and submission to God, having trust in Him. He reveals that his soul was quieted like that of a weaning child and calls on the community to hope in God.

PRAYER

We praise You Lord God Almighty and bless Your name. We praise You in Your sanctuary and in Your mighty heavens. We praise You for Your mighty deeds and according to Your excellent greatness. We praise You Lord with trumpet sound, lute and harp. We praise You with tambourine and dance. We praise You with strings and pipe. We praise You with sounding cymbals and loud clashing cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise You Lord. May You fill us afresh precious Holy Spirit with the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness goodness, faithfulness, humility and self-control. Thank You dear Lord Jesus for loving us and blessing us. Thank You Abba Father for Your choosing us and establishing us in Your righteousness and truth. May You heal all the sick and suffering, and answer all our requests and hearts desires. We love You dear Lord Jesus and trust in You. Amen
