“Where can we go up? Our brethren have discouraged our hearts, saying, “The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to heaven; moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.” ’ “Then I said to you, ‘Do not be terrified, or afraid of them. The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.’ Yet, for all that, you did not believe the Lord your God,”
INSIGHT
-The horn of the Lord is a phrase used in scripture to symbolize God’s power, strength, and salvation. It is continually used to describe God’s ability to defend and protect His people. The Lord permitted Moses to send out twelve spies, one from each tribe of Israel. The spies explored the land of Canaan for forty (40) days, assessing its fertility, population, and the strength of the people who lived there. Upon their return, the spies brought back a mixed report, with some highlighting the strength of the inhabitants having Anakim giants and fortified cities, while Caleb and Joshua emphasized the land’s potential. The Lord demonstrated His power by defending the Israelites and defeating their enemies, yet they had not learnt of God’s salvation. The Lord calls us to rely on His power and strength and rely upon Him in every situation.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father You our Salvation and Shield. Lord You are our Rock, Fortress and Deliverer. Our Rock in whom we take refuge. Lord You are our Shield and the horn of our salvation, our stronghold and refuge. You save us from violence by Your righteous right hand. Lord, You lead us with Your horn Oh Lord. You have assured us that we should not be afraid for You are fighting our battles for us. May You forgive us all our sins, iniquities and every time we have doubted Your power, and wash us with Your precious blood merciful Savior. May You deliver us from all evil dear Jesus and fight for us every battle. We worship You dear Lord Jesus and give You praise, and it is Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen

1 Samuel 2:1-3 NKJV
“And Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the Lord; My horn is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation. “No one is holy like the Lord, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God. “Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed.”
INSIGHT
–Hannah’s prayer is a song of thanksgiving to God and similar to the Magnificat, the song of Mary found in Luke 1:46-55. Hannah speaks prophetically at a time when Israel was about to enter an important new period in their history with the establishment of kingship and new priesthood through her son Samuel. The supreme source of her joy was therefore not in her son, but in the Lord who answered her prayers, the horn of her salvation. She declared that none is holy like the Lord, no rock like the Lord. The Lord is the lifter of our horn and delivers us from every tribulation and grants us honor and strength.
PRAYER
There is no one like You Lord in all the heavens and the earth. None is holy like You dear Lord for there is no one besides You and there is no rock like You our Lord and God. Dear Lord Jesus You are exulted above all the nations and all the people. You are lifted above every created and uncreated things. At Your name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus You are Lord to the glory of God the Father. We humble ourselves before You merciful Savior with sincere repentance that You may forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Oh Lord You are the Horn of our salvation and lifter of our horns. May You deliver us Sovereign God from every tribulation, sickness, suffering, persecution, shame, delay, affliction and lift our horns. We come against all the plans of the enemy and his agent that have fashioned evil against us that dear Jesus, that You may fight for us, for the battle belongs to You. May You cut off the horns of the wicked Sovereign God and lift up the horns of the righteous. May You bless us and expand our territories in every sphere and dimension for You are Holy and Righteous Lord. Like You blessed Hannah with a child, may You grant the gift of children to all those who wait on You. May there be a birthing and breakthrough in every area of our lives, families, businesses and nation. May You bless our children and cause Your purposes to prevail in their lives. Like You blessed Israel with a priest and made a way for kingship in the nation, may You bless our nation with righteous political and church leaders. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Psalms 18:1-6 NKJV
“I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. The pangs of death surrounded me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. INSIGHT
–King David expressed his love for God during a season of great triumph and praise God together with the congregation of Israel. He loved the Lord and had a closer relationship with God who delivered him so wonderfully from his enemies and was labeled a man after God’s own heart. God became his fortress for offered him security; God was his shield for providing protection and the horn of his salvation for releasing His deliverance power from David’s enemies. We are reminded to call upon the Lord during times of distress and anxiety, and He will deliver us from all our fears and troubles.
PRAYER
I love You Lord with all my heart, with all my mind, with all my soul and with all my strength. I will always love You Papa, and my neighbor as myself. Thank You Abba Father for loving me first. Thank You dear Jesus for delivering us from the pangs of death with Your precious blood. Thank You Holy Spirit for saving us from the floods of ungodliness together with our loved ones, and keeping us secure in Your presence. Thank You for You have never left us orphaned but You have always been with us precious Holy Spirit, to comfort us, direct us, help us, shepherd us and shield us from all evil. You are our Strength, our Rock, our Fortress and Deliverer, and in You alone we put our trust. Your name Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe, may You save us and deliver us dear Lord Jesus. Our Father who art in heaven; hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil; for thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory; forever and ever. Amen

INSIGHT
–Filled with the Holy Spirit, Zechariah’s song begins with words of praise from the psalms. Zechariah’s prophecy of the Messiah and the role of John the Baptist also known as the Benedictus. Zechariah praises God for visiting and redeeming His people, emphasizing God’s mercy and faithfulness to the covenant with Abraham. The prophecy highlights and re-emphasizes God’s deliverance from enemies as our Horn of salvation, God’s faithfulness, God’s salvation and His peace and these are the graces that Jesus is releasing unto us during this season of Easter, as celebrate Jesus dead, resurrection and triumph granting us His gift of salvation to all mankind.
PRAYER
Abba Father we thank You and honor You, we give You all the adoration and honor. You are our Good God and none can be likened to You, none can be compared to You. Thank You for You died and resurrected for the sake of all mankind. Thank You for the purposes and plans that You have for us, to give us hope and a future. Thank You for Your goodness and mercy upon us. May this season of Easter revive and resurrect our faith and hope in You Lord Jesus. May You grant peace and salvation to all of us Your children in every challenge and shortcoming. May You heal every heart and infirmity for by Your stripes we are healed. You are great and mighty God, You are awesome in wonder. We worship You and we give You praise, and it is in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen

INSIGHT
–Apostle Paul teaches on the value of Christ’s’ death, and the significance of baptism. The baptism through water immersed and partaking of the death of Jesus, and consequently the baptism of the Holy Spirit through faith in Him. Therefore, having been baptized into Christ is symbolic to immersion that is the death of Jesus and resurrection by coming out of the water as a new creation in Christ as the horn of our salvation. We are therefore encouraged during this Easter season, to embrace our new identity in Christ, recognizing that our old self has been crucified and buried with Jesus, and that we have been raised to a new life, empowered to live triumphant lives over sin and becoming partakers of Christ’s victory in our daily lives.
SUMMARY
The horn of the Lord is a phrase used in scripture to symbolize God’s Sovereignty, strength, power, victory and salvation. The horn of the Lord can also be used to describe a leader or Messiah who brings victory and salvation. David declares his love for God. He acknowledges that God is His strength, rock, fortress, deliver and the horn of his salvation, who saved him from his enemies. David was accustomed to praising God and consulting Him and the Lord heard his prayer (Psalms 18:1-6). We are called to trust in the Lord and depend on Him in everything for He is our salvation. Hannah also prayed and rejoiced in the Lord and in His salvation, and her horn was exalted (1 Samuel 2:1-3). Hannah received the answer to her prayer and bore a son Samuel, and the Lord established kingship and new priesthood through him. In our distress we are called to seek the Lord and He will respond to our prayers and hearts desires. Joshua and Caleb brought a good report to the children of Israel, while the other spies were discouraged and disillusioned by their findings in Jericho, where they saw giants (Deuteronomy 1:28-32). While the Israelites circled round the wilderness for forty years and a generation perished there, Joshua, Caleb and their descendants inherited the promised land for their dependence on God, the horn of their salvation. Jesus invites us to receive Him into our hearts today and we will inherit His heavenly Kingdom. Zacharia filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesied, saying: “Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited and redeemed His people, And has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of His servant David, As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, Who have been since the world began, That we should be saved from our enemies And from the hand of all who hate us, To perform the mercy promised to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant, The oath which He swore to our father Abraham: To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life” (Luke 1:67-75).
PRAYER
We love You Jesus, thank You for loving us first. We thank You for this far that You have brought us and the far that You are taking us. We thank You for Your mercies that are new each morning. We have been crucified with You dear Christ Jesus, and it is no longer us who live but You Christ who lives in us. We have received redemption through Your precious blood dear Jesus, the forgiveness of our sins, in accordance with Your abundance of grace. Thank You for loving us and for sacrificing Your life and giving us victory over sin and death. May You answer all our prayers and hearts desires during this season of Easter. May You break every chain, bar of iron, door of bronze and delay in our lives, families and everything that concern us, and open doors for us. May this season of Easter be filled with joy, peace, reconciliation and love for one other as we emulate You Christ Jesus. All our hope and trust is in You. May You open the flood gates of heaven and make it rain upon us. May You keep us in perfect peace for our minds are steadfast and we trust in You. May all Your promises for us come to fruition in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. May You grant Your true salvation to us and all people dear merciful Savior. Lord may You do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask of or think of according to the power that is at work in us. Lord we trust in You and exalt You. We believe that You are able to do more than we can think of or imagine. We believe that we shall be extremely fruitful since we abide in You and You in us. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in Your house forever. May You bless us and keep us loving Father, may You shine Your face upon us and be gracious to us. May You lift up Your countenance towards us and give us peace. Amen
