THEME: AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST

Jeremiah 49:14 NKJV

“I have heard a message from the Lord, And an ambassador has been sent to the nations: “Gather together, come against her, And rise up to battle!”

INSIGHT

-An envoy was sent to the nations calling the people to battle against Edom. The city of Edom felt a sense of serenity through her allies and her mountain fortresses. The wise men in this city pridefully beat their chests and did not honor God. Therefore judgement was declared by the prophet Obadiah upon Edom, for her hostility against Israel, that’s parallels Jeremiah’s proclamation. Thus a decree declared by these ambassadors to sensitize the Israelites to arise against this city in battle, for its destruction. As believers we are called to uphold justice in our areas of influence. To also look after the orphans and widows in their trouble, and keep ourselves unspotted from the world, which is pure and undefiled religion before God (James 1:27).  

PRAYER

Almighty Heavenly Father, we thank You for enabling us to see this new month in good health. That You for this far that You have brought us and the far that You are journeying with us. We count our blessings and name them one by one. We come before Your throne of grace this day so as to obtain mercy and grace to help us during our time of need. Father we exult You and enthrone You in our lives, for there is none like You. You are a great and mighty God and none can be compared to You. We surrender our lives unto You and repent for all our sins and disobedience. Father we humble ourselves before You and submit to Your Lordship. We pray that we shall be Your faithful ambassadors who obey You and represent You in the nations. We pray that our lives shall be a living testimony and a living sacrifice to show forth Your glory. Father may You defend the poor and fatherless, and do justice to the afflicted and needy. May You deliver the poor and needy, and free them from the hand of the wicked. Holy Spirit we welcome You in our lives to lead us and guide us in Your work of grace in the mandate that You have called us. We welcome You to transform us to be the faithful envoys of You our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and fight for us every battle. We pray that You bless our nation and liberate us from every form of slavery and oppression. May You grant us peace, unity and prosperity for You names sake dear Jesus. We pray this believing and trusting In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
