MOUNT OLIVES

Ezekiel 11:22-23 So the cherubim lifted up their wings, with the wheels beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel was high above them. And the glory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city and stood on the mountain, which is on the east side of the city.

INSIGHT -In Hebrew, Mount Olives is written as Har ha-Zeitim which means throne of God. -In Ezekiel 11:1, Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the East Gate of the Lord’s house, which faces eastward. Ezekiel saw Jaazaniah son of Azzur & Pelatiah son of Benaiah who gave wicked council in Jerusalem. -Prophet Ezekiel was taken to heaven & told to prophecy against these wicked leaders & there after Pelatiah died. -Mount Olives is the Holy mountain of God which represents a place of divine authority.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, all glory, honor & praise belongs to You. You are king above all cherubim, angels, demons, humans & everything seen or unseen. Have mercy on our nation & give us peace. Deliver us from wicked leaders & wicked schemes of the evil one. Renew our spirit to share Your presence in Mount Olives & give us a heart of flesh so that we may do according to Your will. Amen

Luke 21:37-38 And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called Olivet. Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.

INSIGHT -Jesus was teaching in the temple during the daytime but at night He went out & stayed on mount Olivet/Olives. In the morning all the people (Jews & Gentiles) went to the temple to hear Him. -Mount Olives is the throne of God where Jesus went out (ascended) at night. -In Luke 22:46, Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.” This was in the Garden of Gathesemane after coming from Mt Olives where He was later arrested. -Jesus encourages us to pray persistently lest we fall into temptations. When we pray our spirits share with Jesus in Mount Olives.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, give me the grace to pray persistently so that I may not fall into temptations. Let me share with You in the throne of God where all good things come. Have mercy on our nation during this time of unrest & protect us from the evil one who’s work is to kill, steal & destroy. Take control Jesus, as all power & authority belongs to You. Amen.

Zechariah 14:4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.

INSIGHT -Prophet Zechariah writes about the end of time where Jesus will stand on Mount Olives which will slit into two. The remnants will be saved as other nations escape through the valley.

PRAYER: Abba Father, have mercy on me & forgive me all my sins. Save me from the fire of hell & lead all departed souls into heaven. Look kindly upon me that I may be considered among the remnants. Amen

2 Samuel 15:30 So David went up by the Ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went up; and he had his head covered and went barefoot. And all the people who were with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they went up.

INSIGHT -Absalom wanted to overthrow King David in Jerusalem. King David fled to Mount Olives where he prayed to God with humility & his Kingship was restored. -Mt Olives was a mountain of prayer where God’s presence was felt. Through prayer we get to God’s throne & He answers us.

PRAYER: Lord my King, I come to You today in humility asking You for mercy. Elevate my sprirt so that I may get to Your throne. You know my needs & intension better & the end to my calamity. Grant me victory in all these situations as nothing is too hard for You. Amen

Matthew 24:3 The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

INSIGHT -Jesus sat on mount Olives (His throne) & the disciples came to Him enquiring on the end of age.
-In Mat 25:13, Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
-Mount Olives is the throne of God, it’s where Jesus will come from at the end of age & a place of prayer where we encounter God in spirit.

PRAYER: Lord my Savior, I come to You today privately with humility in my heart. Have mercy on me & cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Guide me in Your will so that I may keep watch always as I await to inherit Your Kingdom. Grant me wisdom & perseverance as I seek You first in all that I do. Amen.
