THEME: SIGHT
Exodus 34:8-9
So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped. Then he said, “If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance.”
INSIGHT
-Sight in Hebrew is written as mareh & it means view, outlook, eyesight, appearance, visibility, conception, review, spectacle, vision, observe, look, aim, direct, guide
-Moses had untainted humility; more than all men who were on the face of the earth (Num 12:3) & he found grace in the eyes of the Lord. He journeyed to the top of mount Sinai to collect the second set of the ten commandments when he experienced the glory of the Lord. The Lord descended in a cloud in the sight of Moses & he bowed down in humble submission to Him in reverence for His merciful love, goodness, truth & gracious nature for granting him undeserved favor. Moses requested the Lord to forgive the Israelites for they were a stiff-necked people, always going against Gods will. Later, God drove out the Amorite, Canaanite, Hittite, Perizzite, Hivite & Jebusite for the Israelites to acquire their inheritance. Moses did not physically enter Canaan, but we see Gods grace abiding in his life; as he later transfigured with Elijah & Christ.
