THEME: VISION
Numbers 24:16-17
The utterance of him who hears the words of God, And has the knowledge of the Most High, Who sees the vision of the Almighty, Who falls down, with eyes wide open: “I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter shall rise out of Israel, And batter the brow of Moab, And destroy all the sons of tumult.
INSIGHT
-Vision in Hebrew is written as chazon & it means prophecy, revelation, visualization, spectacle, insight, outlook, foresight.
-God communicates to us through visions, which sometimes could be positive events or warnings against impeding danger/ calamity. Where there is no revelation/ vision, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law (Prov 29:18). Discipline drives vision & our destiny dictates our decisions. Visions are necessary to all individuals, organization’s, leaders & governments as tools for planning the future. Visionaries set out a road map that prospects what is to come. God speaks to us through visions & dreams revealing His plan for our lives. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit our Helper; we are able to move in the right direction according to His purpose for us. With a leap of faith, a sense of hope & taking firm action, we are optimistic of a brighter future, for God unveils His promises for our lives.
-Balaam saw a vision in today’s scripture of the coming of the Messiah. Just like king David who defeated the Moabites in 2 Sam 8:2, Christ defeated the evil one & made us more than conquerors by His love (Rom 8:37). Balaam confirms that visions reveal the words & knowledge of God which could be different depending on what & when He wants to communicate to us.
PRAYER
We humbly implore You Father, for we have begun yet another week. It is not by our power or our might but by Your Spirit Lord. All glory & honor belong to You. Guide us Father in visions & dreams as we prospect our future. May You lead us with Your eye & comfort our hearts; that all shall be well for we are more than conquerors by Your love. May Your grace abound in us forever. Amen
Blessed Week
