THEME: PERFECT
Genesis 6:9
Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
INSIGHT
-Perfect in Hebrew is written as tamim & it means complete, accomplished, model, flawless, unblemished, whole, immaculate, spotless, righteous.
-Noah was perfect & the Lord preserved him using the ark; for he was a model of His righteousness as He intended on earth. Just like Noah, Abraham was righteous as he had great faith in God.
-In Lev 19:2, the Lord commanded the Israelites saying “You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy”. This statement was given in regard to the ten commandments which circle around love of God & neighbor. Jesus echoed this in Mat 5:48 saying; “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect”, when He was teaching on love for our enemies. Jesus also made mention in Mat 22:37-40; that the greatest commandment is love of God & the second love of neighbor, which fulfil the law & the prophets, for He is love.
PRAYER
Lord our Father, You are perfect. We do not take Your mercy & love upon us for granted, we thank You. May our faith in You be accounted to us for righteousness. Increase Your love in our hearts that we may take heed to love You & to love one another. May Your love in us impart grace to many. Amen
Blessed Week
