THEME: LAW
John 12:34-36
The people answered Him, “We have heard from the law that the Christ remains forever; and how can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?” Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.
INSIGHT
-The dominion of Christ is everlasting (Dan 7:14, Ps 89:36, Ps 110:4). Just as Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness & the people received healing, the son of man was lifted so that those who believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:14-16). Jesus is the light of the world, he who follows Him shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life (John 8:12).
SUMMARY
-There are various laws in different fields which when violated, they violate the recipient just like spiritual laws. These laws were established by God to ensure there is peace within one self & among others. The grace of God helps us to abide by His laws.
-The law of the Lord is the key to prosperity & good success. When we meditate on the word; the Holy Spirit helps us to interpret & understand it better which causes a positive impact in our lives.
-The righteousness of God apart from the law has been revealed; being witnessed by the law & prophets through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe in Him. We have all sinned & fallen short of the glory of God, but by His blood we have redemption in Him. Just as faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness, we are called to believe in Him so that we may have eternal life.
-There is no law against the fruit of the Spirit. The Spirit wars against the flesh which harbours passions & desires. The Holy Spirit lives in us, thus if we live in the Spirit we should walk in the Spirit.
PRAYER
Lord our Father, we thank You for the love & mercy that You showed us by dying for our sins. Thank You for this far that we have come, it is only by Your grace. We call on You to forgive us all our sins & deliver us from our evil passions & desires. As we celebrate this Easter, may Your mercy, love & grace abide in our hearts; so that we may realize Your true nature in our lives. Strengthen our faith in You that we may love You & those around us; like You have always wanted us to. May Your light shine upon us that we may be prosperous in all things & have good success. We praise You & lift Your name high forever. Amen
Blessed Easter Holiday.
