THEME: GRACE OF GOD
Ephesians 2:8-9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
INSIGHT
-Grace is a gift from God. God loved us so much and sent us His only begotten Son that we may abound in His grace. Through His grace, sin does not have dominion over us, for we are not under law but under grace (Romans 6:14). If you are under grace and not under law, sin and everything that is brought through sin, shall not have dominion over us. Whether sickness or poverty, death or condemnation, for Christ became poor so that we may become rich and abound in the grace that yields victory because He has overcome the world. We therefore do not boast because of our works but in our infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon us. To each of us God has apportioned the gift if grace that we may abound in His truth and love.
SUMMARY
The grace of God is undeserved favor and unmerited mercy granted to us through His everlasting love. God chose us to reign on earth and have everlasting grace through the death of His Son Jesus Christ. When we deserved to die for our own sins, Christ died for us. When we deserved everlasting condemnation, Christ granted us everlasting grace. Sin has no power over us for we not under the law but under grace. It is by grace through faith that we are justified, for the just shall live by faith. Through faith in Jesus Christ we have been saved and it’s not through our own power but it is the grace of God. The Pharisees and Scribes kept the law and forgot to believe in the gospel of Jesus. They imposed heavy loads on the people with the law and did not follow the teachings of Jesus. Jesus rebuked them for hindering the people from His kingdom knowing that they themselves will not enter. When Moses gave the law bringing forth death, Christ offered us the gift of grace that yields everlasting life. When the woman caught in the act of adultery deserved death by the law, God granted her grace. On the other hand, when Stephen deserved to live because of his strong faith in God, he was stoned to death. The grace of God absolves us from sin causing death, and gives us the strength to preserver even during times of persecution. Likewise Jesus who did not deserve to die because He was without sin, He died so that we may live forever with Him. If the grace of God then abounds in us, we should say no to all ungodliness and worldly passions and live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age (Titus 2:11-12). Like Jesus let us humble ourselves before the Lord for He gives more grace to the humble and opposes the proud (James 4:6). God’s grace is sufficient for us and His power is made perfect in weakness for the power of Christ dwells in us. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence to help us at the time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Christ adopted us in His family through His death and resurrection that we can now call Him Abba Father. The grace of God is sufficient for us and when we are weak then we are strong in Christ Jesus, and we have the hope of eternal life in Him.
Your grace Lord is sufficient for us and our strength is made perfect in weakness, we have confidence in You Jesus Christ. All our hope and trust is in You Jesus. We are more than conquerors in You Jesus for You dwell in us. We come to You Jesus asking for healing and deliverance for Your grace abounds in us. When we are weak then we are strong Jesus for Your grace abounds in us. Lord help all the children living in the street and grant them favor. Thank You for the gift of grace upon our lives Jesus Christ. Thank You for the gift if salvation upon our lives and our descendants. May Your grace abound in us in all things that we may realize our true mission in You Christ. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forever more. Amen
Blessed Weekend
