2 Chronicles 30:12
”Also in Judah the hand of God was on the people to give them unity of mind to carry out what the king and his officials had ordered, following the word of the Lord.”
-Unity in Hebrew is written chabar as means oneness, solidarity, harmony, union or togetherness. It is also the state of being joined together in agreement.
-King Hezekiah brought back worship of God in Israel & reintroducing the Passover feast in the temple where the Levites slaughtered the Passover lambs for the sanctification of the people. He made a decree in all Israel & Judah that everyone should consecrate themselves for the great feast & the Lord united the people in peace. Though the majority who had come from the tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar & Zebulun had not purified themselves as they ate the Passover feast; king Hezekiah did not condemn them but prayed for them saying, “May the Lord, who is good, pardon everyone who sets their heart on seeking God the Lord, the God of their ancestors even if they are not clean according to the rules of the sanctuary. The Lord heard Hezekiah & healed the people (2 Chr 30:18-20). They then administered the feast of unleavened bread in a big way for 7 days; as such was experienced during the time of king Solomon. This was a picture of Christ Who became our Passover Lamb for the remission of our sins & bread of life that we may partake of Him Who gives us strength & have everlasting life in Him.
We thank You Lord King of glory for the love & care You have bestowed unto us. We have received the blessing of rain with thanks Father, bless all the farmers so that they may produce more fruit & help those who have been displaced, lost their loved ones or have been adversely affected; to find peace & restoration because of Your loving kindness Lord. Forgive us our sins Father, purify our hearts & minds by Your precious blood & strengthen us when we are weak Father. Unite each & everyone of us Father in our homes, families, work places, neighborhoods & nation in Your love & help us to forgive one another as You forgive our trespasses too. Fill our hearts with joy always for the glory of Your name. Amen
