Esther 2:12
Each young woman’s turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after she had completed twelve months’ preparation, according to the regulations for the women, for thus were the days of their preparation apportioned: six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women.
INSIGHT
-Esther & other women were in the palace for atleast an year in preparation to be married to king Ahasuerus. The first 6 months they applied oil of myrrh for skin purification, cleansing & strengthening the body. The other 6 months applied perfumes. Esther found favour before the Lord & was chosen by the king for marriage.
-In 1 Pet 3:21, There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
PRAYER
Thank You Father, for the love of Your bride, the church for death & resurrection so that we may be cleansed of all our sins. Baptise us with Your fire Holy Spirit & kindle our love for You & our neighbour. Amen
