THEME: SONS OF GOD

Job 1:6-10 NKJV

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.”

INSIGHT

The sons of God in these scriptures most likely represent the angels presenting themselves before God. Isaiah‬ ‭14‬:‭12‬-15 reveals that Lucifer son of the morning was an anointed cherub and cut down to the ground, to the lowest depths of the pit when he exalted himself (Ezekiel 28:12-17). God’s sovereignty over the entire universe and spirit realm is visible as Satan answers to God and has no authority over Job’s life and household unless God allows him. Angels are ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14).

PRAYER

We lift up our eyes to the hills from where our help comes from. Our help comes from You Lord God, Creator of the heavens and earth. Lord You will not allow our feet to be moved. You who keeps us will not slumber nor sleep. May You dear Lord Jesus give charge to angels to keep charge over us and to keep us in all our ways and bear us up, lest we dash our foot against a stone. May You cover us with Your precious blood and protect us from every plan of the enemy who comes to kill, steal and destroy. We declare today that no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper and every tongue that is raised against us in judgement we shall condemn in Jesus name. May You restore us double dear Lord Jesus like You did for Job for every loss of time and resources, delay, hinderance, blockage and bondage that we might have experienced in our lives, families, communities and nation. Our Father who art in heaven; hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil; for thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory; forever and ever. Amen

Blessed Tuesday
