Deuteronomy 8:18-19 NKJV

“And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the Lord your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.”

INSIGHT

–Moses divulges that all abilities, opportunities, and prosperity come from God including the aptness to make wealth. God gives us the skills, abilities, talents, innovation and intelligence as gifts that come from Him. Wealth is a form of God’s provision and cannot be entirely linked human achievement but it is by the grace of God. Some people consult other mediums like witchcraft, sorcery and freemasonry for wealth oblivious of the fact that all wealth and riches belong to God. God calls us to worship Him alone following the example of Jesus in Luke 4:6-8. Wealth is tied to the covenant promise to Abraham and his descendants, saying, “be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it (Genesis 1:28). God is our Source and calls us to be stewards through the wealth that He gives us and that we may serve His purposes in our families, communities, nation and beyond and honoring Him through generosity and obedience.

PRAYER

Dear Lord Jesus You are Great and greatly to be praise. You are Good and Your mercies endures forever. You are Holy and Your holiness is everlasting. You are our God and none can be likened to You. All power, riches, wealth and honor belong to You. Riches and honor belong to You. For the times we have sinned and fallen short of Your glory through any form of disobedience and adultery, may You forgive us and cleanse us with Your precious blood. Lord Your blessing makes rich and adds no sorrow with it, may You grant us the ability to make wealth merciful Savior. Lord You are our Source of provision, wealth, riches and resources we trust and rely on You and know that You are providing for all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Amen
