Deuteronomy 11:10-11
For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden; but the land which you cross over to possess
INSIGHT
-In Hebrew, vegetable is written as zeroa & it means herbiage, greenery, foliage
-The Israelites were given the 10 commandments & instructed to keep it, so that they may inherit Canaan which was more fertile than Egypt. It was not limited to a vegetable garden watered by man but would have rain sufficient for themselves & their livestock.
PRAYER
Bless our land Oh Lord, that the fruit which comes from it may be of benefit to us & our livestock. May we overcome the slavery of sin by Your help & live by Your grace always. Amen
