THEME: BLESS THE LORD

Psalms‬ ‭104:1-6‬ ‭

“Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty, Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain. He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind, Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire. You who laid the foundations of the earth, So that it should not be moved forever, You covered it with the deep as with a garment; The waters stood above the mountains.”

INSIGHT
-The Psalmist praises the Lord who is the Maker and Sustainer, and takes notice of His divine attributes, and the wonder of His creation. The Psalmist worships the Lord from the innermost parts, that is his soul, and calls us to worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). The God of Israel is clothed with honor and majesty but all the other gods of other nations are idols, and often described as powerless, crude and shameful. The Lord is clothed with light as with a garment, and His presence reflects His radiant being, like during the transfiguration, where Jesus’ face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light (Matthew 17:2). The Lord dwells in unapproachable light, in the glory of His presence (1 Timothy 6:16). God created the angels who are spirit in form and serve Him in His presence. The Lord created the earth’s foundations which will never be moved until He Himself moves them. He built the strongest foundations imaginable; which is a stupendous work of Divine power and wisdom, yet the earth is His footstool, and heaven His throne (Isaiah 66:1).

PRAYER
Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, You are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty. The earth is Your footstool and heaven Your throne, we worship You Lord in Your glory and splendor. We magnify Your holy name and exult You Abba Father, our Father and Friend. May You teach us Holy Spirit to worship You in spirit and in truth. You cover Yourself with light as with a garment. You are the Light of the world and You radiate Your presence onto those You desire. You have created us to be the salt and the light of the earth so that we may represent You in Your likeness. We need You Holy Spirit to live and move in us, our homes, families, businesses, work places, schools, ministries, and our nation, and do Your will on earth as it is in heaven. We surrender all to You dear Jesus may You take over. Take over our hearts and mend all the broken situations. Take over minds and renew us to be more like You as ambassadors that we may operate in Christlikeness. May You take over our lives during both good and adverse situations. Be present always merciful Savior. We desire more of You. Take over Holy Spirit and fill us afresh. May You fill us with Your gifts and fruit, and anoint us afresh. May You wash us with Your precious blood. Only You are the One true God, and all the other gods are idols. Only You are worthy to be worshipped honored and praised dear Jesus. May You allow all people and languages to access Your eternal life merciful Savior. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now, and forever more. Amen
