Psalms 90:17 NKJV
“And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.”
INSIGHT
–Favor in Hebrew is written as chen and charis in Greek, and it means to have a special privilege or a right granted or conceded. It can also be referred to as a token of love. The Lord releases His favor upon us that opens access to certain spiritual realms that become evident in the physical environment. God makes our labor effective and enduring for He blesses the work of our hands. The principle of favor requires unity of purpose. Genesis 11:6 reminds that whenever a people agree, whatever they decide to do, it cannot be hindered from them. Let us continue praying for unity in our families, businesses, workplaces and nation, so that God’s favor may continually reign in our lives.
PRAYER
Lord You are our light and salvation whom shall we fear. You are the strength of our lives, of whom shall we be afraid. One thing we desire of You our Lord God Almighty, is that we may seek You and dwell in Your house all the days of our live, to behold Your beauty and inquire in Your temple. We belong to You dear Lord Jesus, thank You for loving us and keeping us this far. Thank You for Your enduring grace upon us. May You grant us unity among our loved one and all people, and help us in every plan that we may succeed in every plan. We seek Your face and favor in our lives, families, businesses, work and nation. May You open the flood gates of heaven and make it rain upon us, that You may bless the work of our hands. We seen Your divine help in all our plans and hearts desires that You may answer us according to Your great love. We declare that we shall lend to many nations and borrow from none. We honor dear Lord and bless Your name, and it is in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen

Psalms 84:11-12 NIV
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.”
INSIGHT
–The blessing of the Lord is with those whose walk is blameless. Those who walk in the law of the Lord and keep His testimonies. Those who seek Him with the whole heart and do no iniquity but walk in His ways (Psalms 119:1-4). Blessed is indeed the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but delights is in the law of the Lord upon which he meditates day and night, and receives a lasting blessing (Psalms 1:1-3). The Lord calls us to love Him truthfully and walk in His ways, and He will surround us as a shield with His favor and honor, and no go thing is withheld from us.
PRAYER
Dear Lord Jesus You are our Shepherd and Shield. You are our Righteousness forevermore. We desire more of You each day. We desire to dwell in Your courts forevermore. May You cleanse us from every sin and iniquity and cause our hearts to turn towards You and Your precepts always. May You hear our prayers Oh Lord God Almighty. Listen to us Oh God of Jacob we humbly beseech You. Look on our shield, O God. We humbly ask You to look to us with Your favor and bless us. We desire to dwell in Your courts than a thousand days elsewhere, for it is better to be a doorkeeper in Your house than to dwell in the tents of the wicked. We declare that Your presence always. May You teach us to follow You and to keep Your ways of truth and righteousness. We declare that we shall go from strength to strength by Your favor and grace. We desire more of You dear Lord Jesus. Our Father who art in heaven; hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil; for thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory; forever and ever. Amen

Psalms 30:5 NKJV
“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”
INSIGHT
–The Psalmist deliberately debates two contrasting words within the entire psalm. The antithesis describes times of weeping and disillusionment that lasts only for a moment and the joy of the Lord that strengthens us and transcends to perpetuity. If we look closely we see the variance between joy that relates to joyful shouts and weeping which brings out exultant praise. Further, the two contrasting words, His anger that lasts a moment and God’s favor that lasts to perpetuity. There might be a similar antithesis between a moment and life, which relates to the life that we live now and eternal life we have in Christ Jesus through faith.
PRAYER
Almighty Heavenly Father how awesome is Your name in all the earth, You have set Your glory above the heavens. We make a joyful sound to You Lord and enthrone You for You are worthy to be praised. You are exulted dear Lord above the heavens and the earth. At the mention of Your name Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. We honor and respect You Lord God Almighty who is worthy to be praised and exulted. May You heal all the sick in hospitals and among us. Balm of Gilead upon all the sick in Jesus name. May You comfort all those who are bereaved merciful Savior and grant them comfort and strength in Jesus name. May Your joy fill our homes and hearts that we may always praise You. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forevermore. Amen

Proverbs 18:22 NKJV
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord.”
INSIGHT
–The scripture discloses the value of finding a wife, not a good wife as some misquote it. It is a wife who is a good thing and when joined to her husband the Lord bestows favor upon them for mutual good. Proverbs 31 discloses the value of a virtuous wife in causing good and honor in her family. Whoever find a virtuous wife is favored for she is worth more than rubies (Proverbs 31:10). The value in a marriage union kept in mutual love and respect that transcends to the entire family.
PRAYER
We approach Your throne of grace dear Lord Jesus with boldness that we may obtain mercy and grace to help us during our time of need. We humbly exhort You to forgive us all our sins and iniquities, and wash us with Your precious blood. May You dear Lord Jesus unite those who are waiting on You for marriage. May You intervene in those marriages that are the verge of separation or divorce. Those who are divorced may You hear and respond to their hearts desires. Those who are married, may You cement them with codes of love that cannot be broken and answer their prayers. May Your favor never leave our homes dear loving Savior. We pray that the principles of the virtuous woman be found in all women for the glory and honor of Your name dear Lord Jesus. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Ephesians 1:11-14 NKJV
“In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
INSIGHT
-Apostle Paul speaks about God’s plan of salvation, the inheritance of believers, and the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives. It is not about us but about God being magnified through this redemptive work on the cross for us granting us favor through our walk of faith for He finished it all on the cross of calvary that we may dwell in His purposes eternally.
SUMMARY
The theme favor from God is closely tied to the idea of grace, which is unmerited love or blessing from God. We find several Biblical characters like Noah in Genesis 6:8 who found favor in the eyes of the Lord, and Mary, the mother of Jesus who found favor with God (Luke 1:30). God gives favor freely to whom He desires. Favor is closely related to faith and obedience to God. Psalms 84:11-12 reminds us of God’s favor that He bestows upon us and honor to the blameless. The fruits of favor include divine protection, provision, direction, strength, peace and joy. Psalms 30:5 tells us that God’s joy comes in the morning even as weeping endures for a night, and His favor for a lifetime. The favor of the Lord ensures that the work of our hands are established (Psalms 90:17).
PRAYER
Precious Holy Spirit we magnify You in all the nations and among all the people. You are worthy of all our praise and all our worship. We thank You for protecting us, providing for us, directing us, leading us and sustaining us. We humbly ask that You cleanse us from all unrighteousness and wash us with Your precious blood. May You grant us Your enduring favor, and grant us the grace to move from one level to the next. May You fill us with the grace of endurance that we may overcome every temptation that comes our way. Lord may You do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask of or think of according to the power that is at work in us. Lord we trust in You and exalt You. We believe that You are able to do more than we can think of or imagine. We believe that we shall be extremely fruitful since we abide in You and You in us. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in Your house forever. May You bless us and keep us loving Father, may You shine Your face upon us and be gracious to us. May You lift up Your countenance towards us and give us peace. Amen
