DEPEND ON GOD DEPEND ON GOD
Galatians 2:20 NKJV “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life... DEPEND ON GOD

Galatians 2:20 NKJV

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

INSIGHT

-Depend in Greek is written as kremannumi and it means to rely upon for support or hang down, to trust or serve. Apostle Paul speaks of having died to the law and living unto Christ from the previous verse. The scriptures reveal the power of the grace of God through the death and resurrection of Jesus that we have realized the righteousness of God through faith, lest we fail to partake of His victory upon us. If then we have been crucified with Christ, we need to declare that we have died with Him, death to sin and we live for righteousness.

PRAYER

Lord I give You my heart, I give You my soul, I surrender all unto You dear Jesus. Dear Almighty Father, we come before Your throne of mercy this day in thanksgiving, to obtain Grace and Mercy for our time of need. We trust in You and depend on You for there is none that can ever be like You. We thank You for the great and mighty things You always do and for all You have done for us and who You are to us. You are our able and dependable God. Father may You forgive us for all the sins we have done and for all the times we have done things in our own strength, depending on our own might but not in Your precious Holy Spirit. Father may You forgive us for the many times we have disobeyed You and displeased You. Father may You cleanse us by Your blood Lord Jesus. We put our trust in You and depend fully on You in all our life matters. May You take control of our lives and be exalted. May You reign over everything. We surrender all unto You and lift up Your Name in every situation, trusting and knowing that You are able. May You fulfill all the promises You have made for us and all our hearts’ desires according to Your will. We thank You for we know You have heard us and will do it. We thank You for we know You have good plans for us, to prosper us and not to harm us, but to give us how and a good future. We pray all this in Jesus Holy and Mighty Name, Amen.

Psalms 127:1-5 NKJV

“Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep. Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.”
INSIGHT

-The Psalmist in recognition of God’s Sovereignty and Supremacy in building a house which can be synonymous to the life of an individual, a family, a community, church, nation or project. The Lord offers the ultimate protection and preservation by guarding a city lest the those who watch do it in vain. It is then valuable to depend upon God and His promises for everything that pertains to life and eternity. God offers His beloved sleep amidst the turbulent times that we are faced with. God released every blessing that we desire including the fruit of the womb. God calls us to trust in Him and His providence and avoid living in anxiety in every situation including work or achievements.

PRAYER

How Great are You Lord Jesus is all the heavens and the earth. How powerful is Your name Oh Lord. You are highly exulted and magnified. You are enthroned and lifted high. May You release the gift of children to all those who wait upon You dear Lord Jesus. May You protect us and our children from any form of arrow that flies in the day or at night. May You bless us and provide for all our needs we humbly implore You Lord Jesus. May You deliver us from any form of oppression by the government and grant the officials the wisdom to execute their work perfectly. Our Father who art in heaven; hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”

INSIGHT

-Those who were suffering a long and grievous captivity in Babylon, and who had no prospect of deliverance are herein referred. They felt weak, feeble, guilty, and helpless. The promise or assurance here is general in it’s nature and is as applicable to people now as it was in the times of the captivity in Babylon. Many among us are going through a tough time and some are at the verge of loosing it. We are called to pray for one another and put our trust in God and rely upon Him entirely.
PRAYER

Lord Jesus You are our Strength and Song and have become our Salvation. You are our God; we shall praise You and exalt You. Lord You say in Your word that those who wait upon You shall be like mount Zion which cannot be shaken or moved but endured forever. Our flesh and hearts may fail, but You Lord are our Strength and our Portion. Lord Jesus may You renew our strength that we shall mount up with wings like eagles, we may run and not grow weary, we may walk and not faint for our hope and trust is in You. Lord may You fight for us every battle and set us free. Set us free dear Jesus, set our families, nation and all people free for our hope and trust is in You. Those who are suffering may You remember them and renew their strength loving Savior. Your grace is sufficient for us and Your power is perfected in our weakness, and when we are weak then we are strong. We thank You dear Lord Jesus and honor You, and it is in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen

John 8:3-12 NKJV

“Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
INSIGHT

-The law of Moses prescribed a death sentence to any offender caught in the act of adultery. The accusers intended to humiliate the woman in public instead of sentencing her in private. The law of Moses essentially recommended a charge of those parties caught in this act. The woman possibly thought that it was over for her given the judicial system that required execution by stoning to death. She relied on Jesus for mercy and grace and she received her salvation. Some among us offend one another and disagree, but choose execution instead of mercy. Romans 12:19 reminds us that vengeance belongs to the Lord and He rightfully executes judgement. God calls us to love one another as He has loved us (John 13:34). Further, that we need to forgive those who offend us so that our Father may forgive our trespasses too (Matthew 6:15).

PRAYER

Almighty Heavenly Father, we bow before You today in humble adoration. We worship You for Your great and wonderful deeds in our lives. Father we thank You and bless Your name for You are worthy of our praise and worship. We humbly implore You to forgive us all our sins and iniquity oh Lord. May You forgive us for depending on ourselves and where we have hurt others. May You forgive us for executing revenge upon one another and every unforgiveness in our hearts. May You forgive us and wash us with Your precious blood. May You grant us the grace to forgive and love one another truly and truthful. May You show us Your mercy that precedes judgement. May Your divine mercy supersede all. We pray that You shall help us to live in peaceable habitats with all around us and with everyone. We surrender all our life matters unto You dear Lord Jesus, and we pray that You shall fulfill all the desires of our hearts in Jesus Name. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forevermore. Amen

Psalms 9:10 NKJV

“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”

INSIGHT

Trusting in God is a personal choice that stems from our relationship with Him. God promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us and callsus to be strong and courageous, and not to be discouraged nor dismayed (Deuteronomy 31:7-8).

SUMMARY

Depending on God requires that we trust fully in God. When we use the rear view mirror and look back we remain thankful to God, and when we look forward through the windscreen; we are called to trust and depend on God. Depending of God requires that we first completely dedicate our lives to Him. Galatians 2:20 reminds us that we need to pledge our allegiance to God saying, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” This is a statement of total surrender to Christ and His divine will. Depending on God secondly requires that we submit our affairs to Him. Psalms 127:1 reminds us that, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.” We are reminded that without God we can do nothing therefore, we don’t really have a choice but to submit to His will. When we depend on God, He renews our strength and we are able to mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). God is also able to deliver each one from every pain, shame, addiction or adversity, as He delivered the woman caught in the act of adultery (John 8:3-12).

PRAYER

Your name Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and they are safe. We are safe in Your name and in You dear Lord Jesus. We put all our trust in You dear Lord Jesus. May You increase our faith in You dear Lord Jesus and walk with us in every step. May You wash us with Your precious blood and sanctify us through and through dear Jesus. May You open double doors for us and grant us peace and prosperity in every sphere of our lives. May You bless us abundantly so that in all things at all times having all that we need, we may abound in every good work. May You bless us and keep us dear Jesus. May You shine Your face towards us and be gracious unto us. May You show Your countenance unto us and give us peace. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forevermore. Amen.
