John 14:1-4 NKJV
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

These scriptures highlight the value of the call to faith in the midst of uncertainty. Jesus encourages His disciples to trust in Him just as they trust in God, underscoring His unity with God the Father and His reliability as the foundation of their faith. Sometimes we are faced with many trials and tribulations, but the Lord calls us to believe in Him. Trials that stem from economic to financial, family to relational, political to leadership, social to psychological and many others. Jesus reassures us of our eternal abode in Him that He has prepared a place for us within the mansions of our Heavenly Father. “By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.”
INSIGHT
-Joseph was a man of faith sharpened through his hardship experiences. His believe in God was tested and faith strengthened. Joseph at his teenage years was sold by his brothers and thrown into a dry cistern. The Lord rescued him as he was sold as a slave in Egypt and ended up in prison. Sometimes God allows us go through struggles so as to build our faith, sharpen our abilities and draw us closer to Him. Even when faced with trials, Joseph stood firm and did not give in to the demands of Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39:7-20). God is more concerned with our character than our purpose, for character sustains our purpose. These challenges were a valuable training ground for Joseph and his leadership role in Egypt. From a young age Joseph believed in God, and when he was dying, he instructed that his bones would be transferred to Israel. Jesus calls us to have complete faith in Him and when He returns, it is vital that He finds faith on earth (Luke 18:8).
PRAYER
Almighty Heavenly Father we bow before Your holy presence this day and exalt Your name. You are great and highly lifted high, there is no other God but You. We surrender ourselves to You oh Lord and repent for the sins we have done, said and thought. May You wash us by the blood of Jesus. May You vindicate us from all our adverse circumstances and situations that we are going through. We ask that You increase our faith in You dear Lord Jesus. May You increase the faith of our children and our loved ones. May our faith in You never fail dear Lord Jesus. May Your name be exulted and praised precious Redeemer. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forever more. Amen

INSIGHT
-God is assuring us of His abounding help upon us. He is able to help us and give us strength no matter what we go through. He does not promise that we will not face difficulties or fear. He does promise that He is there and able to get us through it. Our God knows all our needs and our fears, and He delivers us from the all if we trust and hope in Him.

1 John 5:14-15 NIV
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”
INSIGHT
-John emphasizes a confidence or assurance in prayer, which is based on the relationship between believers and God. This confidence is not about demanding from God, but about trust in God’s nature and promises. We are encouraged as believers to approach God with confidence, underscoring that prayer according to His will aligns us with His purposes. Our prayers should be in line with God’s will, which means seeking what aligns with His nature and purposes. This reflects a surrender of personal desires in favor of God’s plans, trusting that He knows what is best for us for He knew us even before we were born. Trust in God will increase our confidence in approaching Him. God has always been faithful unto us. He reassures us that if we believe when we pray we have our requests.
PRAYER
Abba Father, we bless Your name this day and exalt You for who You are and all You have done. There is none like You in all the heavens and the earth. You are great and greatly to be praised and no one can be compared to You. Father, today we thank You for Your love to us and Your mercies that are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness over our lives and families, oh Lord. Dear Lord, we humbly repent for the many times we have doubted even after we have asked from You, may You remove every fear and unbelief from our hearts. We pray for our children who are undertaking their final exams that You may give them remembrance and wisdom to succeed in their exams. We pray for all those who are sick and suffering in hospitals and at home that You may heal them dear Jesus. We pray for all the street families Oh God that You may restore them in every way. May You touch our hearts dear Lord and answer all our prayers and desires. We believe that You are able and that You will surely answer our requests and heart’s desires. Oh Lord may You restore and strengthen our faith in You that we may be like Mount Zion that can never be shake or moved. Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
INSIGHT
-Prophet Jeremiah uses a vivid metaphor to describe the stability and blessing of those who trust in God, regardless of life’s challenges. This trust is a deep-rooted confidence, reflecting a life grounded in faith. In contrast to self-reliance or dependence on others, this trust in God brings a unique sense of security and peace. Our trust in God provides spiritual strength and resilience that human efforts alone cannot achieve.
SUMMARY
Believing in God remains a diverse and evolving theme, shaped by individual, cultural, and intellectual factors. For believers, God often represents the ultimate source of meaning, grounding their lives in a sense of purpose and unity with the divine. Conversely, others find meaning through secular or non-theistic frameworks, showing the variety of ways humans seek understanding and transcendence in the world. They set their eyes on riches, fame, relationships, strength, political power and connections, thus idolizing the whole narrative of trusting in God. Abraham believed in God and it was accounted to him for righteousness (Genesis 15:6). Joseph had faith in God and when he was dying gave instructions concerning his bones (Hebrews 11:22). Joseph underwent diverse challenges even from his early days which shaped him in his leadership role. God calls us to trust in Him and He will strengthen us and uphold us with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). God comforts us with His sure love that as we trust in Him He has an eternal inheritance for us in His Father’s mansions set for us (John 14:1-4). We should therefore have confidence as God’s children that as we approach Him, He hears us and whatever we ask for in His name, He hears and answers us (1 John 5:14-15).
PRAYER
We thank You dear Lord Jesus and lift Your name high. Let all the heavens rejoice and the earth give You praise. Dear Lord Jesus, we believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly all that we can think of or imagine. You are our Helper and Source. You are our Strength and Shield, our Father and Friend, all our hope and trust is in You. May You help us and vindicate us from every challenge and obstacle that we are faced with. May You help us and guide us always in the way that we should go for the glory and honor of Your name. May You bless us abundantly so that in all things at all times having all that we need, we may abound in every good work. May You bless us and keep us dear Jesus. May You shine Your face towards us and be gracious unto us. May You show Your countenance unto us and give us peace. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forevermore. Amen.
