THEME: GOD ANSWER’S PRAYERS
Luke 18:1-5 NIV
“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!“
INSIGHT
–God rewards persistence prayers. The parable of the persistent widow invites us to keep pushing in prayer until something happens. The judge was unjust but was forced to deliver judgement for a just course. Even though sometimes we pray the response is instance, we are reminded to exercise our faith and remain in the posture of prayer and the Lord for surely answer us.
PRAYER
Hear our prayer, O Lord and let our cry come to You. Do not hide Your face from us in the day of trouble but incline Your ear to us. In the day that we call may You answer us speedily for our eyes are on You, the Author and Finisher of our faith. May You respond to us when we call and restore us double for the lost time and years that the locust has swallowed and accelerate us in every capacity. May You grant us favor and grace from every side and cover us with Your precious blood dear Jesus. We declare today that no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper and every tongue that raises against us in judgement we shall condemn in Jesus name. May You heal all those who are sick and deliver the street families from their suffering. We pray for peace in Israel, Ukraine, Iran and other nations. May Your name be praised and exalted now and forevermore, Amen.
Blessed Thursday
